This needs to be addressed urgently. For a long time now, there are some batsmen in the Pakistan team who have absolutely no regard whatsoever for the rest of their side and will take a review on an LBW regardless!

Here is a clear example

Notice Rizwan’s body language here. He doesn’t look at his partner, he doesn’t even ask him if he recons that’s plumb or not. He goes off in his little daze and then takes the review. You cannot blame his partner here because Rizwan had no intention to take his non-striking Partner’s view into perspective here.

Now let me tell you at least in this match, how detrimental this could have been to Pakistan’s cause right now.

1. Rizwan, like Abdullah burned a review on a decision that was 3 reds. This left 1 review only, with Pakistan still needing 110 runs in the deficit and only 5 more wickets remaining.

2. Salman Agha was beaten by a good leg-spinner by Rehan and could well have had 3 reds himself had there been a slight deviation on where the ball landed. So that 1 review left could also have been burned but luckily it was not on umpire’s call.

3. Nauman Ali when the score was still 180-7 could also have been a goner as he was given out, but luckily with 1 review remaining, his decision was overturned and then he managed to put up that excellent partnership with Saud. Had there been 0 reviews left, the score would have been 180-8 and Pakistan desperately against the ropes!

These are the fine margins when it comes to taking reviews as batsmen, or even bowlers on such tracks! Why is it that some batsmen in the Pakistan side have zero care about their team? How could you think it’s ok to just take a review without even consulting your partner??? Who are you? Who is anyone in this team? Are they all Viv Richards, Tendulkars and Lara’s? I wouldn’t expect t these three legends as well to not take reviews which they know are 100% plumb.

Respect the game!

Respect your team!

Think of it like this,

No DRS in this game and Pakistan were all out for 120 on this deck. The dodgy umpire gave Saud out early when the ball clearly missed his bat down leg side. 1-2 of the batsmen who went on to score some runs were saved by reviews in this innings.

How the hell do these Batsmen think it’s ok to just burn reviews?? How the heck do they think ‘I’m going to take the review no matter what because only I’m likely to score runs and the people after me don’t really have a chance anyways”???

There should be a rule that only the non striker decides whether to take the review otherwise batter always wants to review every dismissal.

Rizwan just took his casually despite not being confident; Imam saab is entitled to it though for he may force divine intervention

Pathetic review by Rizwan. That was as plumb as it gets. It’s not as if he’s a match turning batsman that you just have to review it. Selfish move, but what else do we expect from him.

1) Rizwan (Batting wise)
2) Babar (Batting wise)
3) Imam
4) Abdullah
5) Chacha
6) Haris Rauf(Bowling wise)
7) Rizwan (Behind the stumps)
8) Shaheen (He's cooled down a bit over the years tbf)
9) Shan Masood (Batting wise, credit to him in terms of onfield, he doesn't spam drs onfield)
10) Babar (Captaincy wise)

^^ These boys always take drs reviews no matter what. And are always upset when the umpires original decison is proven to be correct.

The guys who don't take drs reviews randomly are

1) Fakhar (If anything he tends to walk off even when the sides or umpires don't hear it, He needs to cool down a bit on giving hinself out)

2) Sarfraz (Really good when it comes to drs, especially 2017 yuvi wicket)

3) Shadab (he's a rubbish player but tbf to him, when it comes to bowling, onfield captaincy and Batting, he doesn't take a drs review if he knows the outcome isn't going to be in his favour)

4) Saud (Same, also he has that Fakhar Habit of walking even when the side doesn't appeal or umpire doesn't issue a signal)

5) Nouman Chacha( He's freakishly good at drs surpsringly probs the best I've seen atm)

6) Sajid Khan (I was worried a hit head like him would be bad at it but no, He's also equally good like Nouman chacha is, Really impressed)

7) Naseem Shah (Don't like him anymore but atleast he isn't a hot head when it comes to drs, he's alright qith it)

As for players like Kamran Ghulam, Saim Ayub, tbh idk yet, I don't recall every seeing saim get LBW's or influence an onfield drs review even when he was captaining in the cup recently, and KG is too early to tell.

I've probs missed a few others as well.
