I am usually not posting a lot on these forums, but I felt like I have to start a thread on this and understand what is going on.

Indian bowlers, I notice, last decade or so, bowl on a good line and length and they have bowlers you can move the ball.

Sure, times have changed and good batsman these days will not care about this and still look for runs.

Pakistani bowlers, we have a history of good bowlers, why can’t we just focus on simple things like line and length, and aim to swing from there?

We are just so obsessed with fast pacers, and look where we stand in rankings.

M Asif didn’t have the pace, but had the skill and the art to bowl beautiful lengths.

I am just finding hard to understand, why Pakistani bowler , can’t just stick to the basics of bowling, be patient and just be rewarded.

Pace isn’t everything if you can bowl and stick to a consistent good line and length.

Please help me understand, do our bowlers just lack the brain to do this, or is that we as a country, with a rich history of fast bowling, are so naive that we are only obsessed with fast pace bowling and don’t care about anything else.

I think Pakistan discards fast bowlers way too early if they don't look like becoming Wasim/Waqar while India treats theirs as gold dust.
Someone like Junaid Khan would have had 200 test wickets at least and would be a good mentor to current unit.

Shaheen and Rauf are world class. Naseem is good in bursts.

Way off mark. Pakistani bowlers 3specially in white ball have been excellent, mainly bowling on flat pitches, poor captain and mainly mediocre fielding. Many like Husnain lack experience and I agree with op obsession with speed should be sacrificed for more control and movement.
