Pakistani tail enders should have been prepared for short ball tactics by SA pacers?

It was pretty obvious that the proteas were going to target our tailenders with pace and bounce on these wickets. One can argue it is a tactic devoid of ethics but this is international cricket and you do whatever you can to win.

I personally don't think the likes of Amir, Yasir, Hasan or even Shaheen are absolute duds with the bat, they have the ability to hit out, their problem is that they do not bat responsibly and do not apply themselves properly when the situation demands them to. But these tailenders should at the very least contribute a minimum of 60-70 runs given the hitting ability everyone has. The team management dropping players telling them to improve their batting and giving a serious tongue lashing to tail enders for throwing away their wickets will go a long way.

But on this South African tour where our regular batsman have had problems aclimitizing quickly, it was obvious that the proteas were going to show no mercy to our tail but I am just shocked at the complete lack of preparation it seems the coaching staff has done with the tail knowing they would be peppered with short pitched deliveries. On these wickets every run from no 1 to no 11 is like gold but you can't have your last 5-6 wickets folding for 20-30 runs.

Another major reason for our dismal show on this tour and then you have a wicketless Yasir and an ineffective Abbas which leads to questions as to b whether the likes of Shadab and Faheem Ashraf would have done any worse?

Bro, you should be sued for believing that Yasir isn’t a dud with the bat. He’s Courtney Walsh reincarnated.
