Pakistani teenager Asad Raza sets a new record by taking 10 wickets in a single innings

Teenage bowler Asad Raza completed a rare feat of claiming all 10 wickets in an innings in a domestic fixture yesterday, as Faisalabad claimed victory against Hyderabad in Pakistan Cricket Board’s Inter-Region U19 Tournament match at the Niaz Stadium in Hyderabad.






According to Express News, Faisalabad made a score of 346 in the first innings of the three-day match. However, the highlight of the match was Asad’s remarkable performance which saw him end with 10 scalps for 31 runs in the subsequent innings. His feat also included a brilliant hat-trick in his first over.

Failing to avoid the follow on, Hyderabad fell short of surpassing the visitors’ total as right-armer struck again, claiming four wickets in the hosts’ second innings. They only managed to score 156 and lost the match by an innings and 109 runs.

I heard about this guy during our Last English Summer season or there abouts... Intrigued by who this lad might be I did some research on the matter !!

Needless to say I was disappointed that we have over hyped yet another trundling Anwaresque bowler

I don't know but what are your expectations? Every one is S Akhtar? 120-130 at the tender age of 18-19. That can grow to 130-140 in no time when he is finished growing. And then 140-145 if he maintains his food intake and training.

This is nothing more than a mere dream. Unless, you're a super athlete your not going to gain 20-30 km/h at the age of 18.

Even putting on 10-15 km/h is a bit of a stretch.

If he was average than there were other average player to playing with him. Such performances must be noted and looked for finding good talent.

haha exactly, the meaning of trundler is blown out if proportions on PP, a trundler doesn't even bowl 130kph, and this Raza guy is swinging and reversing both red and white balls, he must be able to reach at least low 140ks minimum, average would be a bit lower than that ofcourse

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, growing up on the likes of Waqar, Wasim and Shoaib anyone who is not express fast is in my opinion a trundler..Lets not get carried away, remember Anwar Ali swinging the ball around corners, one thing is doing it against first class pakistani batsmen (who lets face it are by no means the greatest batsmen going) but he is not ready in my opinion to be included in the test team.And this is by no means a dig at the lad, i wish him the greatest of success just as much as any other pakistani supporter.
