As for the OP I would nominate Sarmad Khoosat for his portrayal of Manto in the series (available on youtube) which he also directed. He has also directed Zindagi Tamasha (to be released in Jan 2020) which has won a few international film awards.

Amongst the current era of actors I really like Fahad Mustafa. From the previous era Adnan Siddiqui.
There have been many great film actors like Santosh Kumar, Mohd Ali, Waheed Murad, Aluddin, Yusuf but the standout film actor had to be Nadeem for his versatility blending in comical and tragic roles. He started off as Dilip Kumar of Pakistan and ended being the Amitabh Bachan, though only Amitabh was a better actor than him. He had more hit movies than any other Pakistani star, one move Aina was on a cinema for about 4 and half years(this movie was remade by India as Pyar Jhukta Nahin starring Mithun C). Many of Nadeem movies were copied in India, but even stars like Rajesh Khanna could not match Nadeem acting and charisma.
Second best movie actor was Waheed Murad , who was the Rajesh Khanna of Pakistan, an effortless actor and charming heart throb of millions lady fans.
As far as the comedians are concerned Munawer Zarif is the best ever movie comedian in Subcontinent I have seen. Till date everyone copies his style movies, tv and stage.
Mein Akhtar,Nanna and Lehri were also very good, as was Rangeela.
Female actresses Babra Sharif was the best followed by Shabnam, Subia Khanum and Rani.
Second best movie actor was Waheed Murad , who was the Rajesh Khanna of Pakistan, an effortless actor and charming heart throb of millions lady fans.

If you are interested there is a drama Mere Pass Tum Ho. Very good drama and Adnan Siddiqui is playing a negative role which he has portrayed very well. Still think he is much better than some of the current crop.

Yep been watching that and Adnan's acting was pure class. But seems so his role is done after his arrest.
Yeah he is very underrated but haven't seen him on any tv dramas for a while now.

Top choice, Dhoop Kinare is probably the best Pakistani of all time. Wish it was available in good quality.
They should probably remake it if they can do justice to the original.
