I generally don't follow Pakistani politics or support any particular Pakistani political parties. Heck, other than IK and the leaders of the two family clans that run the other two main parties (PPP and PML-N), I don't even know any Pakistani politicians names or the main policies of the various parties.
So I'm saying this as a neutral observer:
Any Pakistani coalition govt. consisting of political parties from the left and right, religious and secular, conservative and liberal, primarily rural and primarily urban, can't/won't last very long. The only thing they have in common is the desire to remove IK/ PTi from government.
In fact, the problems will start from day 1, when the ministerial and govt. posts start being horse traded and allocated.
And that's even before we get to actual policies being debated and implemented in Parliament.
There is no way on earth such a coalition govt. will last until the scheduled time of the next general election.
But, given the current situation, none of them will want an early general election either.
This is just a recipe for chaos.
So, given Pakistan's history, don't rule anything out.
