This is a long long time. Great performance by the boys. well done. Never easy to beat Aussies at home.

It felt like a relief that finally they beat them in Australia after such a long time.

They seem to have a big mental block here for whatever reason. Hopefully they will get more confidence now.

Should give us some belief. Australia remain likely to win this series but they should work bloody hard for it.

If our bowlers can keep restricting Australia to chaseable totals then we've every chance.

If we challenge Australia in the rest of the games and run them close that will be progress in LO for us.

This aus batting is as flaky as it gets.if pak bowl like they have done so far and restricy them to below 250 they have a chance of winning the series.aus is playing with 3 batsman of which one is a dasher.the remaining players are hit and miss

Pak has only toured twice there since then.

Why no one points that out? Considering that, we've done wayyy better than others.

This.

We tour Australia once in a blue moon. Less frequently actually.

Though of course our performances in Australia over the last three/four tours have been diabolical. Though we tended to do okay in the LOI, until the last nightmare tour under MoYo.

16 losses in a row is a pretty abysmal statistic, regardless.

As pathetic as SL have been in a while. :rahat1

As they say, people living in glass houses shouldn't throw stones

Ouch are you boys hurt ?:sarf If I remember correctly SL won the last 2 T20 series in Australia, tied one and won the other 50 Overs series. May have played a Tri-series and gone to the final in that one as well. If I remember correctly SL is the only team with winning record vs Australia in Australia in LOI in the last 10 years or so. May be wrong but not as pathetic as 16-0. This is worse than India's 13-1 record.

Stop living in the past mate. What's happening in South Africa atm?

Well done Pakistan, exciting match to watch.

Have been impressed by Amirs white ball work (confidence he gets seeing that white ball talk for him might spread to tests soon).

The surprise packets for me have been Hasan plain the perfect 3rd seamer role- nice & tight, good length, picking up wickets through bowling in partnerships to build pressure. Smart lad.

The other surprise has been Imad Wasim, the spinning all-rounder. I'd never seen this guy and he has bowled very well- mixes up his pace and trajectory, often bowls quite full and has turned just the odd ball enough to prey on our weak batting vs spin.

Imad's trick is he hardly ever spins the ball. Most teams keep playing for the spin when there is none. He has to keep improving because once teams figure out that he is just bowling straight on then he will become a lot easier to play.

Didn't see it coming. Based on the two matches, Australia look there for the taking to me and we should have been 2-0 up. Having said that, they will utilize the next few days to come up with better plans to nullify our bowling attack which has given them more trouble than the would envisioned, especially after the pasting in the Tests.

The next 3 games will be fascinating and if Pakistan can pull it off, it will comfortably rank higher than the ODI series wins in India and South Africa because a) it is Australia and b) it is a 5 match series.

Pak has not won a oneday series any where against aus in 15 yrs.why it is so bad ?

Australia were arguably the best ODI team ever during the 2000-2007 period, and while they were less impressive later on, it coincided with our dark era in ODIs. Simply put, they were unbeatable during the 2000s while we were too poor in the early 2010s. In the next few years, things might change. We are getting better in ODIs and Australia don't look very impressive to me as a team, they are riding on 2-3 exceptional players but they have their shortcomings.

There's just too much celebration for winning a single ODI seriously which is really no achievement.

If Pakistan can win one more match in this series, they will have done better than other teams in Australia.

Pakistan's mid-off and cover fielder should be dreaming of a warner run-out at Perth
