I think the reaction given about Pakistan's Asia cup exit is correct and the players, management, staff and fans have every right to be disappointed as the UAE has been Pakistan's 'home' for almost a decade now and the majority group of players that went into the tournament have played a vast amount of cricket there so accumulating towards the conditions was not the problem. My personal view in regards to the poor Asia cup Pakistan have had is mentality, preparation and a few tweaks on selection for 1 or 2 players. Not the entire squad.

Preparation wise some of our players did deserve a rest and by no means the entire first team should have played the Zimbabwe ODI series. Some of the Players Cricket needs to be monitored and of course they can ask if they feel it themselves but if you're selected you ain't always gonna say no sorry I'm tired leave me alone I don't wanna play. That however is down to the selectors too as well when to monitor each and every players game time so hopefully in the future they see that and can give the next generation the opportunity for those types of series instead. Of course players have to make a living and with the money on offer from T20 leagues around the globe The PCB really needs to start a plan on how many games certain players should participate in because believe it or not most of them are going to the World Cup next year so a decent amount of rest and body plus mind freshness also goes a long way to enjoying your cricket.

Now then, Pakistan's mentality despite being given the favourites tag for the tournament got to them. It was clear to see. They can't handle that tag. What was that down too? General international Inexperience of majority players? Carelessness? Possibly. Micky Arthur and the coaching staff need to somehow try and imbed a ruthless type approach. What I mean by that is. The best example I can give is Australia in their heyday were favourites for everything. Huge bilateral series, World cups, Champions trophy's. The lot. However, You barely ever saw them come out and say yeah we're the favourites. We will definitely beat so and so. The cricketers they had were also mentality tough and their aggressiveness to win at all costs with the consistency they did it in may not be seen for a while again in International cricket but it's very admirable and can be taught.

A lot of times on here, I see people say you cannot be taught mental strength. Of course you can. If you have studied psychology or read up about how you can toughen up from your mindset you would definitely know that and those who can't apprehend that strength which is required especially in this generation where social media, broadcasting and news channels etc are increasing shouldn't be in the squad anyway because playing International cricket for your country is an honour and you represent for millions around the globe not just yourself.

With Pakistani Players especially I feel they need to be reminded constantly how hard they toiled to get where they are, what their parents, family and loved ones had to sacrifice for them to be amongst millions who crave and would literally do anything to be where they are now. That they haven't made it just yet. You're only as good as your last game and More than half the time this can only be realised and seen by them when the chips are down, they are at their lowest and divine intervention occurs. From absolutely nothing they turn into beasts which are something else when it does happen. Confidence goes a long way in anything in life and especially in sport. When it comes to attaining results you always need a bit luck with that too of course.

Here and there a poor result can be understood as it is a game and anybody could come out on top on their day but with Pakistan it's like they are either extremely good, or absolutely terrible and until the mentality doesn't change. Nothing will.

The Aussies actually bragged all the time that they were the best. They created an aura with their style of play, mental.disintegration tactics and also by bragging. To do that one needs to be extremely confident and a game to back that up. There shouldnt be any weaklinks in the team with everybody punching at or above their weight. There is currently no team in the world that can claim that they don't have any weak links in their team.

Pakistan arrived earlier than India and started preparing earlier .

What are you talking about? They practically live there, Even when India play on their grounds they play all over India but pakistan play at just Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Thats it!
