What about... you know, his cricketing skills? Such as his ability to deal with the new ball and all.

As if our openers always provide us with 100+ or even 50+ starts, I don't see the risk in giving Fakkhar a run of 5-10 tests...so, I say we give him a run of few tests and see how can translate his 5)+ average from domestics in to tests!

Sami Aslam is a good option but too slow to partner Azhar Ali; somehow when he came on the U19 scene, I was under the impression that he was a bit of a dasher but in last few tests, he basically slowed down to even beat Azhar in the Ultra Death Paced strike rate competition

After Azhar, Sami is the best test opener in Pakistan. It is a farce if Shehzad and Shaan keep getting selected ahead of him.
