Australia wanted Ravi shastri to there as he is only coach who won back to back test series in Australia. :kp
Aus cricket board is building up the next Indian series .so they got ravi and getting interviews in the past 2 series.

7cricket and 7fit not showing. I'm guessing they have highlights and Fox/Kayo is live. Ah well

Aussies also seem to be revelling in humbling his majesty's coronation at home.

"Aggressive start by Pakistan openers"

Recommending a Pak Restautant in Melbourne....

These Aussie commentators have been singing praises of Smith and discussing meaningless stats of Donald Bradman when Khurram Shahzad is bowling a phenomenal spell.

Not a single mention of Shahzad.

What an absolute joke this commentary team is.

Yes they are blatantly one sided

That’s fine, I guess. But the fact that they fail to even mention the quality of this spell is just hypocrisy. Discussing meaningless things over the spell.

It's the randomness of their commentary . Once upon a time, the Australians had the most generous commentators and they were THE gold standard - Benaud, Lawry, Chappelli, Greig.

It's shocking how much they have gone down with the likes of Kerry O Keffe in the comm. box

There are still good commentators in Australia - Punter, Michael Clarke and Watto who was decent in the CWC. They have just gone with absolute rubbish commentators this time.

Kerry is not terrible - he has one or two REALLY good jokes in a sea of terrible ones.

So far, can’t believe I’m saying this, but Wasim Akram and Shastri have been the best.

Ian Smith is greatly overrated because of his emotions.

Shastri is comfortably the best of this sorry lot. Hussey is not a chore to listen to either I suppose

You're right . They still have Michael Clarke , Watto is phenomenal , Finch is pretty good, Ponting has a wealth of cricketing knowledge. Heck even Tubby Taylor can do a better job than some of these guys.

Ex Aussie captains, when they are actually bothered, have the best insights into the game and Ive always preferred their analysis to the Sky Sports team..

They just select the absolute worst .

I understand the need to get in with the crowd but eagerly hoping for Lyon 500 on every ball by the Comms is pretty stupid.

NRMA Insurance Test Series begins with strong viewing figures

The NRMA Insurance West Test recorded a strong increase in viewing and attendance numbers as big audiences watched Australia take a 1-0 series lead against Pakistan.

Session two of day four of the West Test had a national average audience of 1.1 million on linear TV across Foxtel and the Seven Network, with streaming audiences across Foxtel Group on Kayo Sports, Foxtel Go and Foxtel Now boosting audience figures further.

The NRMA Insurance West Test linear TV ratings were up 22% on last year’s opening Test across Foxtel and the Seven Network, with streaming audiences across Foxtel Group up 43%.

The Seven Network’s coverage of the West Test reached 5.97 million Australians nationally.

The total match attendance of 59,125 was the largest for a Test Match in Perth against Pakistan. This was 40% greater than the previous record, with this year’s crowd peaking at 17,666 on day two.

Nick Hockley, Cricket Australia CEO said:

“After a wonderful lead-up to the summer, we were very excited to get the NRMA Insurance Test Series against Pakistan underway in Perth.

“The strong viewing figures again reinforced the strength of Test Cricket and Australia’s love for this format of the game.

“We have a long-term commitment to growing the West Test and were delighted to attract the highest ever attendance for a Test against Pakistan in Perth.

“Fans were treated to another great performance by the Australian Men’s Cricket Team including Nathan Lyon’s incredible 500th Test wicket.

“Thank you to those who attended and tuned in, and WA Cricket, Perth Stadium, Tourism WA and all of our partners for their support in bringing The West Test to life and we look forward to a huge crowd on Boxing Day at the MCG.”

The series now heads to Melbourne for the NRMA Insurance Boxing Day Test, where Cricket Australia and the Shane Warne Legacy have partnered to offer free heart tests around the MCG as part of a tribute to the Victorian and Australian cricket legend.

Cricket records strong attendance and viewership numbers across NRMA Insurance Boxing Day Test

The NRMA Insurance Boxing Day Test saw strong attendance and viewership numbers across the four days of play as Australia claimed a 79-run win over Pakistan.

Seven Network’s coverage of the Boxing Day Test reached 5.5 million Australians nationally and taking into account audiences across the Foxtel Group including Kayo Sports, Foxtel Go and Foxtel Now, over one million people on average watched across each day’s play.

Kayo Sports recorded its highest ever audience for a Day One of a Boxing Day Test, which was up 2% year-on-year.

The NRMA Insurance Boxing Day Test had a total attendance of 164,835 over the four days.

In total across the four days, more than a quarter of a million people attended the Test and KFC Big Bash League matches.

In a new initiative for the Boxing Day Test, Cricket Australia and the Shane Warne Legacy came together to honour Warne and encourage fans to take a Shane Warne Legacy Heart Test with 23 stations located around the MCG throughout the match.

A total of 7847 tests were taken over the course of the four days, with the national total currently at 29,013.

Cricket Australia CEO Nick Hockley said:

“We are delighted to see such strong viewership and attendance numbers for the NRMA Insurance Boxing Day Test and KFC Big Bash League.

“It was a great four days of cricket, and we were pleased to see so many fans join us at the matches or tune in to watch some great contests, including Australia’s win over Pakistan, led by an extraordinary player of the match performance by captain Pat Cummins.

“We were also pleased to see so many fans taking a Shane Warne Legacy Heart Test during the Boxing Day Test. Heart health is a very important cause, and we were proud to raise awareness for it alongside the Shane Warne Legacy.

“It was also very special to see so many fans tipping their hats to Shane at the 3.50pm each day.

“There is a lot of discussion about the evolution of cricket, and the reality is that the game, with its three great formats, has never been more popular, relevant and had greater growth potential.

“For players, there is more earning potential and opportunity than ever before, while for fans, the entertainment is outstanding, whether in the stadium at the game or through the continuous innovation of our broadcast partners and via a huge variety of digital channels.

“The attendance and viewing figures for this Test series once again demonstrate the enduring passion for the toughest and most celebrated format of the game.”

Australia and Pakistan will now head to Sydney for the NRMA Insurance Pink Test, starting on Wednesday, January 3.

Will the credit for these viewership and attendance figures be given, attributed completely to Australia or will some portion be credited to Pakistan as well?

So where to watch this series in the USA? Willow tv is not telecasting this series. It's telecasting Ind-afg series. Was a little surprised that willow is not telecasting this because they did telecast the pak-aus test series..
