India are producing so many great fast bowlers while Pakistan have to go back in previous millennium to find their last 200 wicket taker test bowler.

I am afraid but even in fast bowling, the gulf is widening.

I don't think it'll last that long trust me! there's bound to be a good bowler coming through and I mean even in our darkest times we always had that bowler who would turn up in ICC tournaments or in a big match like Pakistan fast bowling was never boring there was always someone as fans we were excited about and someone would always turn up when it mattered like in a big match or a ICC tournament just think about it except for 2013 CT I can't remember us going without a bowler who would not become a world beater in a tournament
Yeah they are not consistent nowadays but we always have someone to replace the old guys who are not bad but they become average with someone who is good and the cycle continues which is bad but it also shows that our bowling resources even at its lowest were always good and yeah Indian bowlers are good right know but its not like you guys are a windies attack of 70s and we have bunch of rubel hossain's running in and bowling the difference is narrow but you guys are peaking while we are coming out of all the terrorism ** and as far as gulf getting wider is concerned just look at the domestic talent and you'll know its not

You don't know that because india never needed to test their bench strength as much as pakistan did in odi or tests. All the top players have performed really well over the years. In tests india is well ahead.

Pakistan had no choice but to promote their youth to the starting 11 out of necessity as their main players dint perform consistently. This applies in both odi and tests.

I agree but my comment was solely based upon what I have seen of Indian bench strength till now. Khaleel was given quite a few oppurtunities, same is the case with Saini currently but they havent shown something to be really impressed as of how. Bhuvi and Umesh have been around for quite sometime now but havent done anything exceptional.

Tyagi looked decent in the U19 world cup, Nagarkoti has been struggling with injuries for a long time now. If there are some good young pacers do tell their names.

India also has only two pacers in this millennium to go above 200 wickets in Zaheer and Ishant.
For Pak I think there were few on their way or could have before injuries and match fixing ended their careers.

fair enough.
saini
prasidh krishna
mavi
nagarkoti
tyagi
avesh khan
mohammed siraj
ishan porel.

all capable of bowling good pace. Talent is there. Just need more opportunities now. Very difficult to get in. Obviously politics and favoritism also plays a part.

I see tyagi, prasidh, porel and saini having a good future. There are a few more but I can't remember off the top of my head.

anyone know much about the domestic circuit talents in Pakistan? please post them.

I like sameen gul. he has potential in tests.
Others I am not sure is test ready apart from naseem.
Not counting shaheen as he is already a top player.

in t20, you have rauf

in odi I believe rauf can be effective there. Not sure how good he has been in the domestic system though. Are there others?

shaheen
naseem
rauf
shinwari
abbas
gul

hasan is done in my opinion. these 6 should be enough for all formats.

Shami is about to get there. 180 wickets. So, that's 3.
