PakPassion Fantasy Cricket Competition : ICC T20 World Cup 2021

I had a disaster game yesterday.

Who in their right mind will not have Afghanistan spinners against Scotland? Well I did. I don't know it was a brain fade moment. I went in with players like Karim Janat, MacLeod... I don't know what was I thinking.

Thanks for the tip because of which now I am ahead of you :msd

Yes I waited :afridi

It's a minor difference, kid. Don't celebrate too much yet.

I also had a fantastic day yesterday in the competition, although it could've been even better had it not been for some stupid decisions on my part. My brother bailed me out yesterday, as otherwise I was on my way to going all the way to the last spot! I got lucky, phew!

I know you are too good. Just celebrating my small win. Just like when 12-0 turns to 12-1 :mv

The use of the Michael Vaughan emoji tells me how bitter you still are over the events from Sunday. :msd

I did a little better yesterday than the day before but still I'm not happy.

Expected more from Tabraiz on a slowish wicket but he didn't deliver, opted for Hasan over Rauf and it didn't work out.

Nah its okay. The gap is still too big. Just like gap in our points in this comp :afridi

Hmm,... okay, alright.

A request, could you please calculate the points´ difference between you and that guy on the second spot? My math is weak. :msd

Phew, got lucky yesterday! My brother submitted the team around 15 seconds before it got locked.

Anyway, I´ve been discharged now from the hospital and have taken over the charge once again, although the involvement of my brother shall continue.

I´ve been diagnosed with POTS - one of the symptoms of which was/is chest pain, hence the name of my team, 'Chest Pain XI'. An article coming up on that once my condition stabilizes, by the Will of Allah.

I'm back at the top with a lead of just a few points! Phew, this is running very, very, close! The top spot keeps changing hands every few matches. This is going as well fought as the tournament itself, or perhaps even more than that.

Needed 1300 points phew, thank god got that.

Still been stuck at no.5 for few days now. Glad Shakib is out and all those people getting advantage off of him will now be selecting someone else :))

Now I just hope my captain performs and gets me the needed points, big day tomr.

Some other person has joined the Pakpassion league and he is on top.. Who is he???

The competition for top spot has been great so far. I had a strong gut feel that Rabada will have a good game and replaced Shakib with Rabada as the captain.

Got a bit unlucky with Rauf and Shaheen not picking more wickets though. I thought they'll do well against Namibia.

Who is this new person?

I´ve had a word with MenInG over him already. This competition is only for PP members and not any outsiders. The guy at the top seems to have joined the league through the public tables - it´s possible. I would advice everyone not to take him seriously - unless it´s confirmed that he is some member from over here.

We will check.

Thanks for that MS!

Disaster strikes for my team today, KW out for a duck.

I've got Guptill, Boult and Sodhi though. Loaded my team with 4 Kiwis.

I might be out of the league today. Did not have Guptil in, man i should have added him I almost did.

I am 2k points off from the forum topper so thats about it i guess

And i almost had Mitchell ahead of Guptill then I thought let me take Guptill and see... Generally against these smaller teams, we should pick openers, 90% of the time it will come off.

I learnt it the hard way. There have been times when I lost massively by not picking openers against smaller teams. Once Dilshan in 2011 WC against Zim killed my fantasy team as I didnt have him and all my cousins did and most as captain.

He is not - so ignore his progress.

Good, thanks for clarifying.

Actually, the manager of the competition, Saj bhai in this case, can remove this new suspicious fellow from the league by clicking on some button there on the website. I don´t remember how exactly it was done. Either way, we know that he´s to be ignored, and even that´s enough.

Has been a really good fight this, good performance by everyone. Last 5 days left and I will have to change my captain again as Rabada is now out of it.

Guys, that Sakush K.C. guy who mysteriously joined our league before being thrown out, I´m now above him as well by a lead of around 408 points, and I´m fifth on the overall table. :msd

Is there a possible chance that i could make 3000 points off one game?

Wow wow, wow! What a tournament for me! I won this competition and also the predictions competition that I myself held here the at the forum at the same time! With this, I´ve now bagged 11 competitions for this forum.

On the overall Cricketweb table, I finished sixth out of overall 681 members. I must stop here a moment to give a lot of credit to my brother, as I was really unwell in between for quite a number of days and he completely took over things and made awesome choices for me which made me climb up to the first position over here on the forum. Even when I began to feel somewhat better, the involvement of my brother continued, as we would both get our heads together each day after the toss. So, I/we take it a lot more seriously than many would, and myself having won so many times for PP proves that there must indeed be going a lot of effort into it.

I thank each one of you for the participation and for making the tournament a lot of fun for me at a personal level. Looking forward to more of these! :)

Congratulations to Dhoni183 on winning this competition!! Well played mate.

I really enjoyed playing this and it was great fun. Slightly dissappointing to finish 3rd but I lost ground towards the end when some of picks didn't quite click.

Looking forward to more such events!

Yeah, given your past record and your passion for it, I was expecting you to either win or at least finish second. However, what happens quite commonly is that, when you´re behind by significant margin from the top, you absolutely have to go for uncommon, unexpected, different, and unique choices, and this right away results in yourself slipping further down the table if the selected players don´t click. I myself slipped from fifth to sixth on the overall table because I left out a couple of obvious choice for the Final, in order to make an attempt at reaching top three, and it didn´t quite work. So, it happens.

Received the prize yesterday, and it was gifted to my niece Neha earlier today - much to her delight! With that, I´ve now gifted a prize (won on this forum) to all four nieces of mine. Only two nephews remain now. :msd
Saj thank you, bhai!
