He didnt pulled out....after war he went there
Okay fair enough, but what about Dasun Shanaka? what about Ottneil Baartman? I'm sure there are others that I'm forgetting. If a rule is not equal for all then it doesn't mean anything. That was different because of security issue. Heck there was a war between two countries ongoing. If you are breaching a contract there needs to be a solid reason at least. (Even if it might look farce in actuality).

I hope we see announcements in the coming days banning these players for two years too.
That doesn't make any sense though.Maybe there is a difference in the leagues eyes between a direct signing and players signed via draft. That's the only thing I can think of.
Spencer Johnson tooOkay fair enough, but what about Dasun Shanaka? what about Ottneil Baartman? I'm sure there are others that I'm forgetting. If a rule is not equal for all then it doesn't mean anything.

I agree, was just thinking of possible reasons. Assumed he was direct and post draft so was trying to find some logic behind PCB decision. That doesn't make any sense though.
If a player signed a contract with the franchise and reneged on the agreement then there should be no difference based on whether he was a direct signing or whether he was signed through auction.
And Muzarabani was neither. He was signed as a replacement player for Shamar Joseph.
Spencer johnson didn't refuse.....he asked them that I will arrive late but quetta refuses because they needed bowler for full tournament soo he signed with csk instead as partial replacement....Spencer Johnson too
No, I'm not blaming you or anything. Personally, I think they just want to make an example out of him because its easier to ban a Zimbabwean player, as opposed to a Sri Lankan or South African player. Unless they issue bans to Shanaka and Baartman in the coming days there is no reason to think otherwise.I agree, was just thinking of possible reasons. Harsh on Muzarabani, Shanaka etc got off without anything just because they are players of a bigger board. No, I'm not blaming you or anything. The thing that they are probably worried about is a potential scenario where they ban a bunch of players and end up restricting their own overseas player pool.
IPL can afford to do this because everyone wants to play in the IPL which makes it a good deterrent. But I don't think the PCB can realistically afford to do this if they are planning to continue running the tournament in this window.
Its even worse when you consider the fact that Muzarabani wasn't even a direct signing, nor was he bought in the auction. He was a replacement player for Shamar JosephHarsh on Muzarabani, Shanaka etc got off without anything just because they are players of a bigger board.
yes, rules should be same for everyone. Shanaka should be banned as well. Its even worse when you consider the fact that Muzarabani wasn't even a direct signing, nor was he bought in the auction. He was a replacement player for Shamar Joseph
Yeah. It makes no sense TBH... Looks like PCB just wanted to make him a scapegoat so other players and boards could get away with it....yes, rules should be same for everyone. Shanaka should be banned as well.

That's what I'm asking here. Like what about them? Is the case with them different? Is there something I or we don't know?Okay fair enough, but what about Dasun Shanaka? what about Ottneil Baartman?
LOL, so he would rather have his friend Kevin Pietersen in commentary panel than have Steve Smith, David Warner in the IPL? Opinions like this is why he went unpicked in franchise cricket too. He has turned into a glorified ragebaiter or contrarianAhmed Shahzad speaking on his social media handle:
“Most of the players you have are those who retired from the IPL, and their future didn’t really progress further. Players like David Warner, Steve Smith, and others don’t have the same impact as someone like Kevin Pietersen has in commentary in IPL. These are the kinds of players who are now here and say the PSL is better, otherwise wherever a player gets a chance, he will always choose the IPL. So, what we need to do is decide exactly how many players we are going to ban.”

things arent certain in life especially in sports. one bad injury or loss of form and he may become unpickable in leagues. Loyalty is only for your national team. whoever thinks otherwise doesnt live in real worldBlessing wouldn't care much, he has earned 4 times of PSL money. He would be retained by KKR or will play in other team from next season.
Besides KKR has teams in CPL, MLC, ILT20.
Blessing's future is well secured by participating in the IPL this season.
which is nonsense. Either have the galle to ban others as well or leave Muzarabani as well.Yeah. It makes no sense TBH... Looks like PCB just wanted to make him a scapegoat so other players and boards could get away with it....

You are right, but at the end of day only $$$$ matters.things arent certain in life especially in sports. one bad injury or loss of form and he may become unpickable in leagues. Loyalty is only for your national team. whoever thinks otherwise doesnt live in real world
it does, but franchises won't have any problem in distancing themselves from a player who loses form, suffers a career threatening injury or gets older. Leagues are just what they are, easy money for playing a tournament. And it's good for players as it gives them better financial incentives especially from the nations where players aren't paid that well. You are right, but at the end of day only $$$$ matters.
