What a find this guy is!

A player who can bat at 5 at a SR of almost 140+

Two brilliant innings if he ends up being the highest run scorer he needs to be considered.

PCB must show that they give domestic games weightage for selection.

2-4 top players of Pakistan Cup (Shakeel Sheikh claim), 7 top performers of Pakistan Cup (Hammad Azam claim)

Will be added to those 23 already announced.

I would like to see Wahab, Haris Rauf, Khushdil & Iftikhar Ahmed to be added to those 23 players camp.

For WC it will be Asif/Khushdil/Iftikhar.

I would like to see Khushdil play the Odi series vs England.

Definitely one of the best hitters of the ball in our domestic cricket and one of the most promising young LOI batsman.

In future can be really decent for Pakistan in ODIs and T20s if groomed well.

If there is one guy who should be on the bench as a back up for hafeez or asif ali, in the lower order. Then it is this guy for sure, 100%.

Not a new find, he's been performing for 2 years in List A

Both Khusdil and Iftikhar are decent bowlers as well, much better than your current spinner Imad.

He's no good. He was a flop in the PSL last time he played.

I'm not 100% sold on this guy because I feel like he is too much of a legside hack, but in this red hot form he deserves to be included in the squad, might be useful in the WC. If he fails like no tomorrow he still won't do as bad as Akmal or Asif. Coincidently he bats in the lower middle order and we have a huge gaping hole there which we tried plugging with Umar Akmal and Asif Ali, unsuccessfully.

If he is a legside hack international bowlers will work him out.

Did he hit boundaries on the offside this time around?

When Sharjeel debuted for Pakistan he was also pretty mediocre but players improve and may be thats the case with Khushdil Shah.

Also in PSL it wasnt that he got a lot of opportunities.

UAE PSL isn't the best place to judge hitters. Khusdil won't last long on difficult tracks and track where ball comes late; but on the ground (NSK) that PSL was played this year, many of the bowlers will be scared to bowl at him. In some match in this tournament (can't recall), he tried to hoick one over mid-wicket, top edge took it to long off crowd - at least 85 metres and very high, because it was a lob from bottom hand - that is frightening power. In T20, coming at 4-5 between 10-15th overs against spinners, this guy can hit a 20 ball 50.

The balls that are coming to him on the off he's wacking it over mid off Chris Lynn style, the balls slightly on the 4th stump line he's getting into a position to whack it into the leg side. Looks like a solid player.

Pakistan desparately need a middle order batsman that can bat at a strike rate of 90+ and he is clearly showing that with his career SR at 98 with an average of 48.

Should be called up to the 'probables' list, test him and see how he does.

And not good enough for the PSL.

This is what makes you either want to laugh or cry about Pakistan cricket - no place for Abid Ali and Kushdil Shah in PSL who could both end up by some freak chance in Pakistan’s World Cup squad and setting the tournament alight with their blistering stroke play.

Apparently the PCB has confirmed that there aren't going to be any additions to the probables. They've essentially slapped their own tournament in the face, and proved that it is not important.

But main men like Azam Khan were there.

It's fair to say the PSL is all about who you know, not how good you are.

According to Shakeel Sheikh a few could be added. Very important for Khushdil to score another ton to put pressure on the selectors.

Should be groomed first. No need for a wild card entry all of a sudden. It's just form which can vanish anytime.

Youre judging based off the one game he played? Wow thank god you're not the selector.

I'm not saying he should never play for Pakistan, but people want him in the WC based on his form in this domestic tournament and nothing else??? PSL was the highest standard of cricket he played and he flopped, what makes people think he's suddenly good enough for the World Cup squad when even Iftikhar Ahmed is scoring runs for fun in this competition.

The PSL was busy entertatining foreign players i guess.

That is why I think prize money should be increased for winning the whole tourney. Owners would pay attention (it lines their pockets) and push management to get best players available. Heavy incentives can be good. Also finishing bottom 3 years running should incur a fine. It would certainly make things interesting.

I agree, I had heard his name but when I saw him playing in PSL last time I was disappointed to see how mediocre he was . But, I will give credit to his current performances, he might have improved since then.

At the same time, when players like Hammad Azam taking wickets , one wonders the standard of the cricket being played.

Can anyone verify if he is a legside hack?

And if he is, why are we planning to include him in the squad?

Don't we have enough experience with leg side hacks? (Hint : you know).

Yep he is leg side hack also he plays spin better tha fast bowling. His weakness is short pitch ball which he is very terrible at.

His batting stance don.t inspire much .quality team can crump him for room easily

He Can bowl as well.Taking Asif ali and Umar AkmAL TO
wC WILL BE DISASTER,

I am not sold on domestics in Pakistan if this guy being a legside hack is lighting up the grounds.

i saw highlights of ahsan ali's innings. He did ok in the PSL and he ahd to work hard for his runs..here he was fed garbage..the bowling was beyond bakwaas. Gotta say the standard is very poor in this years cup..thats why its important to keep hasnain and the other young bowlers in the international setup..domestic will kill them..

Im also happy to see Mir Hamza in county and not wasting his time here..
