Do you know any scholar to whom you agree with 100% to all of his views ? I have not found any yet. The best method in my opinion is to pick what sounds logical to you from every scholar and ignore the rest.

Technically speaking I think there are only three scholars who have never been criticized as per asma rijal rules. Imam Mubarakpuri , Imam Muslim , third I do not remember.
