Harsh to base that on this performance. He is a young kid and will learn from being around waqar etc.

btw go sindh!!!!!

He's 27 yrs old so not young, but yes he is inexperienced at this level with only one domestic season behind him

yeah, i didn't mean to be harsh to him. i'm sure he'll learn and improve. he must still have the selection/dropping on his mind today...may have been harder for him to concentrate.

fair point, thought he was younger.

Personally with his height, he could be dangerous on english wickets.

After watching all of irfan's ten overs, i see nothing special in him. His bowling is too short, no yorkers and importantly no variations. he needs to work with a bowling coach. seems an average player to me i.e another Abdur rauf/ rao iftikhar

bowls a good yorker is pretty accurate with the new ball and gets bounce even on a dead pitch like we saw in this game the only concern is he does not move the ball both in the air or off the pitch again maybe it was due to the state of the pitch.

Playing each and every delivery on merit and giving respect to a bowler is two completely different things.

Have you ever played cricket? :13:

Perhaps you shouldn't make such assumptions.

Your post indicated because Irfan is a nobody the batsman should not show any respect. Please enlighten me as to the distinction between playing the ball on merit and giving respect to the bowler.

Whether they are two completely different things is questionable, so I invite you to elaborate.

And yes I have played cricket. And perhaps you have not. :13:

They are showing highlights of this game right now on GEO Super - whoever missed the game last night can watch it now.
