Sarfaraz Ahmed will be relieved by their last outing whilst Babar will be looking to better his own scoring issues today (and win also!)

20000 unsold tickets. The PCB was better of holding this game in a venue which had not held any international cricket for a long time ie Faislabad, Sialkot, Gujranwala, Muzaffarabad etc. You would have gotten big crowds there in comparison to Karachi

Can't blame Karachi this time. Home side not playing , it's a neutral game. They came in good numbers for the match against Lahore , can't expect them to turn up again the next day.

Correct about the alternate choice of venues but those venues most likely have had no renovation for years.

PZ will have a much better chance if they play Arshad and Shahzad instead of Irshad and Khurram

Jason Roy has looked a total shadow of himself in the last one year. England moved on from him. Quetta will have to do the same as he has been a complete liability for them.
 
The crowds are embarrassingly bad for this match featuring two non home sides in Karachi. Would it not have made more sense to hold these matches in other neutral venues where the public has been starved of cricket for a while i.e. Faisalabad, Gujranwalla, Sialkot, Muzzafarabad e.t.c? We have to promote the PSL in these cities as well. I am sure the crowds would have been much better in these cities for these non-local matches.

If you give too many matches to one ground, city eventually public interest will dwindle.
 
Also, not sure if i agree with the present PCB model of hosting so many games in one go in one stadium i.e Karachi and Multan, the pitches in the two stadiums have deteriorated badly with the ball no longer coming on to the bat. Maybe the PCB should have devised a different schedule where pitches were given time to recover.

It's good India aren't gonna create batting roads for us in the world cup. Need to experience playing OK pitches with more turn and deterioration

I am an Indian so please don't take me in wrong way but I want to emphasize the poor marketing of PSL. IPL captured middle class audience by incorporating movie stars, organizing fan meets, even creating controversies etc but PSL marketing is reduced to youtube channel only i guess. As a neutral fan in India, i got regular updates of SAT20 but for PSL i have to check everything myself.

Do all IPL games occur on a home and away basis or are some games held in neutral venues as well?

I agree with your views, what you are mentioning should take place atleast a month before the start of the PSL and the Franchises should be responsible for organizing these events in their home towns atleast.

Indian wickets will always have pitches where the ball comes on to the bat even if there is turn on offer.
 
Haris is what Pak T20 lineup is missing at the top. He is a Jason Roy and Finn Allen type player. High risk, high reward. He may fail many times, but he will be a match winner.

Love to see Hasnain continue his good form into this PSL. I feel he does not get enough opportunities consistently for Pakistan,and his confidence gets shaken.

Competition for fast bowling spot in national team is heating up. Now Ihsanulah and Husnain tossing their hats also for the 4th ( or third ) seamer spot after Afridi, Naseem and Harris .

Babar simply doesn't click in this format with his way too cautious approach. It looks really bad as he is a genuinely good player in 50 & test. But he doesn't belong in this format. Both he & Harris scored same amount of runs, yet the difference between intent & impact was massive.There really is no such thing as "anchor" in this format. You either hit out or get out, as simple as that. Babar is lucky he doesn't represent Eng,Ind or Aus; as he would been booted out by now. But this stubborness of not adopting to modern standard & playing his own way is simply hurting his legacy.

I sometimes feel they are being pressured by PCB,even though it sounds ridiculous. But this constant praise & cringeworthy worship creates such doubts. Whatever happens in the actual field bears no resemblance with what they are trying to picture from the box.
