The match will be entertaining as a lot is at stake for both top franchises. Think a lot of responsibility is on some seniors like Malik and Wahab. Karachi’s foreign players haven’t really shown much where as PZ along with their coach might get them over the line in these crunch games.

Could we see Pakistan premier Batsmen Babar Azam go out in the play Offs?

Eliminator 1 –Peshawar Zalmi vs Karachi Kings: Wahab Riaz-led Peshawar Zalmi produced some thrilling cricket to ensure a play-off berth despite some hiccups on the way.

Seasoned campaigner Shoaib Malik has been their top scorer to date with 244 runs in 10 games at 30.50 and a strike-rate of 140.22. Malik made two fighting half-centuries in the Abu Dhabi-leg against Qalandars and United to ensure his team fought all the way in pursuit of steep targets while minimising the damage to their net run-rate.

Wahab has led the bowling charts for Zalmi with his spirited efforts with the new and the old ball resulting in 14 wickets in nine league matches at 21.85.

Defending champions Kings had to fight hard to resurrect their campaign after losing the first three matches of the Abu Dhabi-leg, which left them on the verge of elimination.

Imad Wasim-led side won a last-over thriller against Qalandars – their ninth match, before defeating Gladiators on Saturday evening to clinch the fourth-spot in the playoffs ahead of their arch-rivals Qalandars.

Batting mainstay Babar Azam leads the HBL PSL 6 batting charts with 501 runs in 10 matches at 71.57, Babar has scored six half-centuries in the tournament so far. Babar’s opening partner Sharjeel Khan contributed 312 runs in 10-league stage matches at 31.20.

Emerging category pacer Arshad Iqbal is the leading wicket-taker for the Kings with eight wickets in as many matches at 29.

Head-to-Head: Peshawar Zalmi nine, Karachi Kings five

Can see a well oiled Peshawar besting Karachi. Kamran may do well in the eliminator, he has usually done well in PSL in the play offs.

Peshawar is a joke of a team. That they’ve gotten to the next round says more about the abysmal performance of Quetta and the brilliance of Sammy than anything else.

KK will need to put a big target in place to knock over PZ.

It's an evenly matched encounter from my understanding. Malik and Kamran are PZ's prized wickets, whereas Babar and Sharjeel are KK's.

Wahab will be PZ's bowler to look out for whereas I think Mohammad Ilyas will be KK's.

It will either be a run-fest given how flat the pitch is, or it will be a 150-160 ish game where bowlers dominate.

There is not much to separate these two teams.

Peshawar Zalmi have won the toss and opted to bowl first against Karachi Kings.

3 changes for Zalmi, 1 for the Kings.

Was Ramiz indirectly saying opposition teams don't try to get Babar out since he plays safe and slow? I didn't get properly what he was implying.

No Haider Ali?. It seems Peshawar Zalmi has given up on Haider Ali and will release him in next auction.

That Muhammad Akram of Peshawar Zalmi has great role in destroying batting of Haider Ali. Last year I heard him saying on 'Game on Hai' that he told Haider Ali just to slog from the get go.

Pretty average knock from Sharjeel to be honest. Quite a few plays and misses, 2-3 edges going to the boundary and now out.

Well Danish Aziz seems to be intent on proving all of us wrong about him considering what we saw of him at international cricket

He's done ok in terms of providing KK with a good start, just needs to start converting those 20s to 30/40 scores and he's good.

He's done quite well this PSL with averaging in the 30s and being the 4th highest run scorer.

Bobby is a player who needs faster tracks so he cab use the pace of the ball with his exquisite timing. You need a bit more power to score on a slow wicket.

In a virtual Quarter Final, this Babar guy is playing at 100 sr after 12 overs lol. Shahzad must be proud

i would have kept Danish in the dugout until the last 5 overs...now Perera comes in...confused

Yes he has done decently in some matches of PSL, I think his innings today was pretty scratchy and he didnt try to adapt to the pace and conditions.

Poor batting from babar...puts pressure on other batsmen to do most of the momentum building

Yea, that's true but even then i would want him to be taking risks. All we need is someone to play an explosive start and if Sharjeel gets a mid 30-40 score i will take that and say we've got what we wanted out of him.

I turn PSL on for the first time this season and I see 39 year old Irfan bowling and a sloppy misfield for 4 :))) pensioners super league lmao!

That over was kinda gift for Babar. He was struggling to keep even 100 SR before.
Let's see if he can capitalize now.

Captain Wahab leading from the front.
Those 3 boundaries in Imran over saved Babar's SR.
