Feel for QG, they will be at an obvious disadvantage now.

I think Quetta Gladiators can still win the PSL bcoz their bench is too strong...

Bismillah Khan
Umer Amin
Ehsan Adil
Hammad Azam

Lol if they go through that will all change

The basic things are:

a) The players are getting the money they signed for regardless if they go or not
b) Its not really a match they care about. Do you think Gayle cares if KK win the PSL or not? Or Jordan for that matter in terms of PZ?

you given up on tomorrow already? but yes every1 shouod be supporting zalmi now

I heard Peshawar has many international flights from Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah. So the Zalmis will have no trouble going back. If worse comes to worse they can go to Karachi and take a local flight from there.

:salute

Great stuff.

Obviously a Karachi fan but now, I really wouldn't mind it too much if PZ wins.

Love Zalmi and they have been my second favourite team since the PSL began.

FULL loyalty with KK but proud of the foreigners in Zalmi.

Can't see anyone but PZ winning the PSL now. QG are massively handicapped.

Fantastic!

Why I support this team. A win tomorrow and Zalmi will be strong favourites to take the trophy from Lahore to Peshawar.

From Karachi but will be supporting Peshawar tomorrow. Dont think any of Karachi's foreign players will show up for the final.

A pukhtoon victory in Lahore with everyone celebrating will send a clear message to the terrorists and haters that this nation cannot be divided.

This is a special moment in the making. Hopefully Zalmi can pull this off.

BTW, does this include Dilshan? Mamoon Abdullah719

This and Afridi in the side will be awesome for the fans back home. Afridi is the darling of the crowd and one cricketer that gets every Pakistani going.

The names I'm hearing are Sammy, Samuels, Jordan, Malan and Patel.

Not sure about situation with Dilshan. I don't think he is with the squad.

Great stuff.

Fantastic team spirit shown by their foreign players.

God willing Peshawar win, want my Pakistani brothers and sisters to enjoy the cricket back home! they deserve it!

Sammy,Samuels,Jordan,Malan are all non-impact players.

If players like Roy/McCullum/KP/Gayle are missing, then it will be a big loss. These are match winners on their day and they can step up big anytime.

PZ are winning this comfortably now.

They will sweep KK aside tomorrow and have the last laugh against QG on Sunday.

Half the QG side is gone and no way, the backup foreigners will have the same quality as PZ ones, heck they may not even be better than the PZ locals.

I think he is a backup player who can be called in case of emergency. He has never been seen in any training session and is never there in the pavilion etc.

That pukthun hospitality cant be betrayed. great job to both afridians.

i dont follow this?

Is it just me or is anyone else worried about foreign players traveling? I'm feeling quite anxious about it all

its a tough game 2maw for zalmis.
if u look at the games played between the 2 the one zalmi lost they lost pretty easily adn requjred a heroic afridi effort to get close.
and the game zalmis won was a result of a good bowling performance but the batting was all done by morgan.
top 4 need to fire big time to win.
only way i see a victory is peshawar zalmi opening bowlers fire

I thought the Peshawar Zalmi got eliminated?

They lost the first qualifer but they play the winner of the 2nd qualifier (i.e. Karachi Kings) to determine who reaches the final.

Should've definitely be called up once Tamim/Shakib/Morgan left.

If Quetta or Peshawar wins the tournament, would the team go to the city for a rally?

Most of the quetta players live in karachi so I doubt it they will go quetta for rally and plus quetta ppl probably doesn't care that much... They are more into soccer than cricket.

They probably live and breathe Quetta Gladiators over there. They should definitely go there.

Samuels is not an impact player? He is a knockout specialist, perhaps the greatest knockout batsman in t20i history.

I think they'll be paid extra for going to lhr.

lol quetta gladiators holds it events in karachi

not even sure whether theyve been once to quetta even

That's unfortunate.

If and when the PSL finally comes to Pakistan, I hope matches are played in a home and away fashion and it would be lovely to see QG stepping out to a packed Quetta stadium.

But knowing PCB it is very likely that whenever PSL finally comes to Pakistan it will primarily be played in Lahore with some matches in Karachi/Islamabad.

we are back pz will win inshAllah

so if zalmi lose are these players going to be in the final draft?

From what i understand

Zalmi owner is very kind to his team players he give away 15 thousand dollars to sammy for winning t20 worldcup in 2016 .So this is reason other zalmi players are also with him to go to lahore he support his team player off the field
I doubt he will let his players to play for other side and also it will be stupid and Psl will lost his charm if they play for other side

The company that owns them is Karachi-based, but the Gladiator brand has been involved with cricket in Balochistan. They held an extensive talent hunt programme in September and you can see the turnout in their Twitter feed. This was when they announced it:

https://www.dawn.com/news/1280799

The regional cricket board seem proud of the Gladiator brand and the Nadeem Omar has spoken several times of wanting to give back to the Balochistan people.

Don't know where you got the idea they don't care about Quetta.

Islamabad United held a victory tour where they went around some universities in Punjab (including LUMS) in September after the England tour.

But no foreign players were involved, only Dean Jones. They did hold an exhibition match in Pindi in which both Wasim and Deano were involved in.

Big news for Peshawar, but I don't think it really matters as they won't reach the final and will be beaten by Karachi tonight.

:127::130:
:123:this Peshawar team will be very strong against Quetta (without main foreign players), Quetta should get Nabi, Rashid Khan, Van Wyk and Joshua Cobb from the list Pcb issued

this is the situation of allmost every street of quetta

quetta people love cricket . in last Ramadan tournament ground was packed with people and all local players from quetta were playing . so you can imagine how much they love cricket .

Well that's settled it, the foreign players will throw the game so they don't have to travel to Pakistan. Karachi will win this afternoon and the dream will become a reality, for Rahat will not be denied. :rahat1

Sammy during presentation said they don't yet know if they'll go.

And need to talk to the 'boss'.

What's happening?

the media always give false perception about Quetta and that's why people think that Baloch people are aliens and that is not true at all they love cricket and Pakistan as much as any other Pakistani

Brother do they show just Quetta Gladiator games or all the games?

They thought Rahat was going to play so they agreed to go to Pakistan as a nice gesture for Pakistani fans, knowing that they had no chance of victory.

Rahat didn't play, Peshawar won the game and now suddenly the players are going to claim they were misquoted or inventing various family emergencies or commitments that mean they have to rush home.

it didnt look like it was secured. Sammy still looked like he was 50/50 on the whole thing. Also Ramiz was idiotic in his questions are you excited to see Lahore. Sammy was embarrassed he didnt know what to say. Clearly we wont be seeing the players walking around the streets of Lahore visiting landmarks and tourist spots. They will be walking into something out of an action film with guns and police everywhere and the area on lockdown thats not exactly an exciting thing for the players they will just be hoping they come back in one piece. I hope the Zalmi foreign players are coming because if they dont then Javed Afridi will make himself look like an idiot and the players will get loads of vitriol online.

Peshawar Zalmi Team reach Lahore for PSL Final

Yes, you heard it right... Whole Peshawar Zalmi team including captain Dareen Sammy, Chris Jordan, David Malan, Marlon Samuels and Samit Patel reached Lahore for PSL Final.
