Peshawar Zalmi v Quetta Gladiators | PSL 2 | Qualifier 1 | Sharjah | Feb 28, 2017 | Match Thread

This is the Shehzad we've been accustomed to seeing when he was in rich vein of form, dearly hope this knock gives him the confidence he needs and he gets back to his best, more importantly his performance in this edition of PSL should be rewarded with a spot in the national outfit. He has earned it!

Hope Sarfraz gets out.. What a pathetic player when it comes to powerhitting.

This is what Hawkeye and I are always talking about. Sarfraz is an average LOI batsman.

Quetta wouldn't be in this position had it not been for Sammy's idiotic captaincy.

he is a very good odi bat if used at no 4 ..

odi batting isnt all about power hitting ..

t20s dont care much as long as sarfi wins as captain and upcoming players perform

Of course Sarfraz critics would pipe up now as soon as he has ONE innings off colour.

Your precious Akmal brothers have batted at a SLOWER SR in this PSL than Sarfraz but no surprise you were silent then.

Why are you bringing up Akmals? I don't even want Kamran Akmal near the team  Sarfrazs strike rate even in international cricket is not an accurate representation of his hitting ability. It's high because he is very good at rotating strike

Peshawar should be disappointed if they don't chase this down. Easy runs against this attack. Mills is the only threat.

Why is It hard to accept that sarfaraz struggles to score quick runs against pace bowlers? Its a fact and he has shown this inability time and time again.

He is great against spin (perhaps best in the team) and can score at brisk rate against spinners. He can score singles and occasional boundaries against pace bowlers. That is what sarfaraz is as a batsman.

Let's appreciate him for what he is rather than blindly believing that he can do any job given to him.

Sarfraz is an accumulator with no power striking ability, struggles big time in death overs when there is a need to accelerate, doesn't have the muscle power to hit big and impose himself on the bowlers, should be utilized in top 4 in ODIs as he can rotate strike at will and help his partner build an innings but he is definitely not a slogger/finisher to end an innings on high, and most certainly he's not T20 material, poor decision of giving him captaincy on management's part.

Pitch is slowing and Zalmi are bowling better. You can't smash every ball out of the park.

Sure - but scoring at 6 RPO after having such a great launch pad?

Poor bating in any circumstances. In any circumstances, with only 2 wickets down after 12 overs, there is no excuse to be batting at the run-a-ball mark.

QG have thrown away a great opportunity hear to bat PZ out of the game.

this match is telling us why Sarfraz should not be in T20 team

Zalmi should be alright vs Anwar Ali as long as they don't feed him length balls on his pads like Binura Fernando infamously did in that Sri Lanka T20.

Has Ranmore Martinez gone to the Asoka de Silva school of Sri Lankan umpiring ? Clear no ball.

Sarfraz should give the strike to Anwa. Anwar is garbage but at least he can hit

some terrible batting from Quetta for the last 7 overs or so
