So they have now lost WT20 2024, Champions trophy 2025 and WTC 25. Ever since they insulted the game by putting their feet up lazily on coveted world cup trophy, Karma seemed to have strike and they are trophyless since.

Aussies have always been like this...have you forgotten how they celebrated T20 WC 2021 win...

When Ma Long won the world championship ot maybe it was Olympic Gold, he sat on top of the ping pong table with his shoes on.

No player in India can do that and not expect a kick on the butt for doing that.

Aussies will still win trophies regardless

No they havent won an icc tournament since 2 goats started making predictions. Won't name ofcourse but you know who Im referencing
 
There's nothing wrong with what Marsh did. It's just a trophy. People need to lighten up instead of taking everything so seriously. Australia will win another ICC event soon enough and bring fresh trauma to another country. Because in the real world superstitions only exist in certain people's heads.
 
Because there hasnt been another ICC ODI World Cup dufus.

OP is acting as if it has been 10 years since Australia won a tournament. They are the current title holder, infact the title holder of the main ICC event.

Now i dont know if this is someone trying to promote his religion about never place your feet or this or that, but point is, India never won a Test Championship while Australia has.
 
LOL. It has been only 2 years since that trophy thing happened. OP is making it feel like decades. They have already won too many cups that they dont really feel about 1 WTC final..

I can guarantee they would have lost this one too if we hadn't doctored the pitch. They are not the same team they once were.

Surely people care more about what they never won over something they have won many times? Basic human nature.

I am sure Aussies care about WTC a lot, they have spoken about test cricket being most important format many times.
 
I think it will take long time for Aussies to get a trophy atleast in limited formats. New guys like Mcgurk are horrible as much as possible with out technique.Recent pak drubbing with new players is one sample of new talent.Even in test matches, once smith and others are gone after home ashes, they will have series in india.it will determine if they can qualify for next wtc finals.

ICC World T20 2024 , ICC Champion trophy and WTC final 2025 . They are not going to win any trophy in next 5 year ( not due to that Celebration lol) but Australia oldies are declined & likely to retire after The Ashes and new player's from Australia are mostly tullebaaz.

Best chance for india to over take australia in next 5 year in term of most ICC trophy 🏆

5 Years is a long time. You all need to stop believing in superstitions and Karma. Its a weak religious concept backed with 0 evidence.

This is not a terrible T20 team by any means. But it was utterly bizzarre utilization of resources. Tim David at 4. Useless Green at 3. He doesn't even bowl. Inform smith sitting out. Inform Renshaw sitting out.
 
India screwed Pakistan in dodgy Sri Lankan pitches. A champion side can play on any surface and win.

Aus doesn’t care about T20’s lol. 99.9% of people are unaware there’s a World Cup going on.
 
They can celebrate however they want. Also they don't take it that seriously and it's a chill culture. Unlike Asian culture where everything is way too much with cricket.

Yea admitting Australia suck in T20 meaning is an indirect complement for India. When pakistan beat Australia in a bilateral they hype themselves for beating mighty aussie. They want us to push the narrative. Australia takes bilateral t20 seriously not the world cup

You would expect him to say that though, right?

Aussies are the only country where their star players have quite regularly turned down the IPL to prioritise test, and where their premier T20 competition doesn't involve their star players, but is a bolt-on to the main test series at the time.

The fact that the coach and even Ricky Ponting have recently stepped up to dismiss this notion is quite telling too. It is a genuine observation by many fans of the game.

That was a non-serious series.

I wouldn't have even given it an international status.

I don't think many Pakistanis felt hyped up after it. It was nice to win, but thats about it.
 
Australians are complaining about how Australia has not prepared seamers that could replace Josh and others because they are all format bowlers. All format players are going to represent inconsistently
 
Australia T20 team is definitely not a bad team. But not resources for the condition. This unit is good for flat pitches.

I think they severely depend on the three bowlers. India left out out Bumrah and played 10% fit Shami still won the CT. They had no panda in Asia Cup Final still won.

The coach, the captain and lots of ex players, the board, all have said the world cup is very important. But sure, your anecdotal evidence trumps all that.
