The two cricketers were seen smiling and hugging after the match, following a lighthearted on-field exchange where both mimicked each other’s wicket celebrations.

What began as playful banter — Abrar imitating Hasaranga’s celebration after dismissing him, followed by Hasaranga returning the gesture when he removed Saim Ayub — ended in a memorable moment of sportsmanship.

Could have cost his team the game!

You don’t mock the opposition’s ace card when you are bowling first!

I get that bro but you got to be careful with who you mock.

I get the impression these boys Abrar and Sufyan are more in it for the gram and Tik Tok reels.

Hasaranga was clearly on it to destroy Pakistan after that. He was pumped.

Mock someone like Dasun Shanaka or that Karunaratne because you know they are toothless on this deck.

Chill bruh, we had the game in the bag. I like the swagger of these boys. You want ghanta type players who will lay down on the ground in "sheer admiration" of the opposition player asking them to sign their shirt after losing a match?

Of course not.

My point is that you should be careful with who you target as the one to pull their legs and also the timing matters.

First innings, Abrar does his little drama…knowing Hasaranga has been near unplayable so far in this tournament and your own batters are useless at reading the hand of mystery spinners….Hasaranga is one of the best in the world.

It was a poor choice and the wrong player, at the wrong time. Thankfully we got the game in the bag.

Hasaranga is a champion cricketer and so is Abrar. Rana you need to relax, brother. Hasaranga took it in good spirit. See my post below.
 
This is why i love srilankan people. He didnt mind it, and loved how both embraced each other.

Also its ok, such type of getting under your opponent's skin is fine. I like how abrar as a spinner likes to take panga

This same mentality is repeated again and again and again. Its like the proverbial dog which keeps barking at a sleeping elephant minding it's own business but when the elephant finally kicks, the dog acts all injured and whines.

I am not the one who took a potshot at a country in a completely unrelated topic.

This is the level of obsession, you cannot even praise Sri lanka without bringing in india. In fact that post i quoted is just using Sri lanka to hate on India, they don't care about Sri lanka at all.

And the perfect example of what I said, obsessed with hating another country but when you get back cry and act victim.
 
Would Abrar have been happy and chill with Hasaranga copying, imitating and mocking him if Pakistan had lost?

Sri Lankan Cricket Board should take action and notice against the Sri Lankans being all laughy and jovial after not only losing a vital game but also crashing out of the Asia Cup. You will not see the Indian players do this and even if they did, you will not see the BCCI or Gautam Gambhir put up with this. This game is not for the weak or faint hearted.
 
It's one spinner to another. Both have now earned each other's respect. I don't mind Abrar being a pest on the field as long as he's returning figures of 8 runs in 4 overs. It's your own performance that counts.

This is in an ideal world of course. In the real world, Abrar could end up like Shadab and therefore look crazy in hindsight.
