However the bowling remains crap. No proper pace bowler apart from Naseem. Spinners are just crap, not a single one of the three spinners are actual tuners of the ball. Good to see Hunain was retained.

Still im not understanding, why did they not go for more local pacers. Salman irshad is a garbage bowler, and is a bit liability.

Does Dwarshuis offer any pace? and what about Riley Meridith?

Andres Gous is a big steal, good to see him get selected by us.

However, we have 4 liabilities in the team. The fat Azam, Haider Ali, Nawaz and Salman irshad.

They should had brought in 2 local pacers, causing moving foreign players is a nightmate with the qoutas we have in place.

Overall, batting is GREAT, spin bowling is non existent and pace bowling might become an issue interms of foreign qouta.

Their batting is great but the bowling seems quite mediocre to me.

Very disappointed to see Saad Masood land here too on a team full of all-rounders. It will be very difficult for him to get chances with Shadab/Imad/Nawaz/Agha all there and batting wise he'll get buried with the depth. I wish he landed on a different team.

Unless Shadab returns to form with the form, I think they'll be good but not great enough to win.

Haider is doing better in recent years, I don’t think he’s bad. Nawaz in silver actually feels more like a bargain given his PSL record, but not sure IU even need him. Though they’ve done this quite a bit season after season, pick surplus spinners and keep them in the squad. Zafar was in the same situation in the past. And yeah you’re right they tend to go more for darters than spinners.

I don’t like Azam in internationals. But I think we have to be realistic. He’s one of the most sought after PSL Pakistani players and would be snatched up by other franchises in a heartbeat if released. There are very few lower order players that can play at a high sr and a decent average, and Azam is one of the few and probably the best in Pakistan. Even in the world, the amount of players that can score at that high sr at even a semi decent average is rare. It’s a loss for Pakistan that he isn’t even half way fit, that he could actually succeed in internationals.

Even ifti is too old now and only has had one good psl season even though he’s underperformed for his talent. Asif Ali has also fallen off.

Maybe if we made it a requirement you have to get fit to even star in the PSL there’s a chance it would have forced him to get fit. At this point even if you sack him from PSL foreign leagues will play him. That’s why I think we need to priotize fitness, it shouldn’t be ok even at youth level to be fat. We have let a cricketer go all the way to league level before trying to get him to lose weight. Won’t work at this point.

Psl isnt really a proper league. No scouts or anything. Its just a richmans private league.

I will never forget when Shadab khan had the first pick in one of the psl, and he picked Hassan Ali in plantinum over Rashid khan. During the next 3 seasons of psl we kept giving wickets to Rashid

I think in Cricket we have come to a point where there legitimately are players who are good enough to be league Cricketers but not good enough to be International Cricketers.

We (Fans) haven't quite integrated this idea yet.
