The final squad for Quetta Gladiators in PSL 10 (2025) draft:

Quetta Gladiators retentions: Abrar Ahmed, Mohammad Amir (mentor) and Rilee Rossouw (all Diamond), Akeal Hosein, Saud Shakeel (Brand Ambassador) and Mohammad Wasim Jnr (all Gold), Khawaja Muhammad Nafay and Usman Tariq (Silver)
 
Could ve brought Williamson and make him captain. He seems to do well in such cases and they could all bat around him. Nonetheless a good squad.

Can someone explain what stupidity these guys were looking to pull by picking TKC as first pick?

What was the thinking? And LQ straight away used their RTM and didn’t look too happy about it. That was very awkward, as if they felt blindsided there?

This is a post he made that he is moving away form Quetta Gladiators.
 
Fantastic draft and my money for the best team in PSL on paper. Got a very well balanced squad with spinners, pacers and big hitters. Good combo of righty/lefties too. Their spin attack is absolutely deadly with Abrar/Tariq/Hossein there.

I am just hoping Hasan Nawaz isn't left out of the lineup in favour of a Saud-Allen opening combo.
 
Best squad this season.

They are just missing a killer no. 6. Maybe they'll need to put Chapman in that role if he can agree.

Saud is key, and more important than Russouw. They are predicting strong spin tracks this season. Russouw is terrible against spin
 
Quetta looks much better now as they have kicked out sarfraz.

He was holding them down with his awful captaincy and tailender batting.

He was the negative energy in the team.I m happy they kicked him out. They will perform much better now.

saud is a problem though he should not even play listA cricket and here he is in the team playing franchise cricket.

I can support this team now that sarfaraz is not the team anymore. Hopefully they won't make saud captain.

Sarfaraz Ahmed is likely to be appointed as the Director of Cricket of the team.
 
Russouw averaging 5 in this years SAT20

He was poor for Quetta last season too.

They will have to bank on Mendis it seems for number 3 unless Saud takes that position

He's also the mentor earning like 5 million a month for doing nothing & now this after being the captain for the team for like 8 years or so. Do people in Pak ever sit down in front of the mirror & just have an hour of self reflection?

Literally never heard of the guy but if you think he can replace their platinum pick who I'm assuming was selected more for his batting than his bowling, I'll bow to your superior knowledge of local cricketers. Personally I would've expected them to replace Chapman with someone with at least a slightly higher profile. Ideally capable of batting at a good strike rate.

I think Chapman missing for now isnt a big issue because they have plenty of batting cover and they can use Kusal Mendis to play the middle order role with Omair Bin Yousuf.

Chapman returning will be a major boost, but they need to be in top 4 to hold on for it.

They already have plenty of batsmen. Tbh Ali Majid a good slow ball option, but they have a good spin attack as it is. Majid is a good option if you want to bench Hossien and play the extra overseas batter/pacer.

Well considering that's what he did in the recent National T20 where even part timers like Sharon Shiraj were maintaining economy rates below 5 with more wickets. It's not overly impressive.
Personally I'd prefer if they wanted a local player to replace, then go for someone like Qasim Akram who is younger and can at least bat and bowl if needed. They already have other spinners in the squad. Give a chance to a younger player.
 
Seems like a very pool of players. QG should do well this year. Nadeem Omar needs to ditch the goodwill of keeping guys like Moin khan.
 
Chapman is a bang-on average player who hasn't performed against anyone. But against Pakistan he seemingly has Bradman-like stats.
 
Quetta Gladiators, also known as Karachi B. I think they probably have one of the best squads. They have a good crop of young players, some experienced names and some pretty good foreign picks too. Pace-bowling probably one of the strongest in the entire tournament.

Plus, they also have one of the most valuable picks, the Ben Stocks of Pakistan: Rana Faheem Ashraf.

They seriously retained that chucker Usman Tariq? Serious question, have you ever seen a bowler whose action was so obviously illegal? How is he allowed to bowl? He wouldn't pass any biomechanical test in the world.

I think his action is pretty dodgy. I would be surprised if he doesn't get reported outside of Pakistan/T20 leagues. It may not be deliberate but I find it hard to believe that he doesn't chuck atleast a few deliveries. Not sure how regularly he does that delay before release now.

That delay is not the problem as well... Remember Hafeez, ashwin etc doing that as well... I hope his action stays clear because he has been troubling the batters too good... He could be the next guy in line to make it into the national side... he is pretty under-rated

Yes but that rule was changed. While its not prohibited, the rules now call for umpire to assess if the bowler is deliberately using the pause/delay to distract the batsman. If the umpire deems it so then the ball will be called a dead ball as ICC considers it to be unfair play and against the spirit of the game. Unless he is doing that delay every ball he will be called out for it.

He terrorizes domestic batters because he's a spinner but bowls at a speed of an accurate medium pacer who brings every ball in. Most of our batters play cross batted slogs in the name of aggression so he's nigh on unplayable for them but lets see if foreign players are able to play him.

I think he played in a PSL before and wasn't super effective but I personally still like him & his no nonsense attitude.
