Very smart kid this bloke. I can already see him being involved with Pak cricket one way or the other

Opener
Knows how to maintain 50+ avg at 80+ sr
Bowls some spin
Kept wickets for PZ
Babar’s(captain of all 3 formats) best friend (iykyk)
Vlogs for Pak team
and now a commentator

But good to know someone along with Shan(may be even Hafeez) who can speak. Bored of hearing Rambo all the time as Pak commentator

Honestly see a pretty good commentary career for him. His English isn't too bad and will only get better after a decade of international cricket, which I see him playing.

Didn't like him commentating much. I thought I heard him say "inshallah"? I prefer the traditional Ramiz, Wasim.

You know, obviously you know. As you know obviously....
Someone needs to point this point as it’s very irritating. And he needs to slow down wants to talk to quickly.

Exactly this. Every single sentence starts with "obviously". And to be honest his analysis is pretty poor. I'm not impressed.

It’s his first commentary stint, that too impromptu... why exactly are we analyzing pretty much anything about it? He speaks confidently and brings a humorous touch - that’s all you need at this stage. 10 years down the line, if he chooses to pursue it as a career, he’ll cut down on the fluff automatically.

He was pretty impressive tbh, definitely think he could be a commentator in future.

With more grooming and if he slows down, he could be a decent commentator in the future.

Needs to focus on his batting first !

Showed Initial nerves but definitely has ability for good analysis with insight

He did a masterclass earlier as well. I actually thought it was very good and much better than something Ramiz would ever produce

Apparently his paid holiday is coming to an end tomorrow :)))

My eyes read 'Inzamam Ul Haq' for some reason before opening the thread.

Inzi commentating (in English) would be an absolute spectacle. I hooe someone makes it happen. :inzi

‘Bismillah - the boys playing well ‘

loved him as a Tv commentator. We need people like Imam and Rizwan to take our team forward as they are smart individuals with the ability to adapt to different situations and conditions.

OBVIOUSLY Imam is going to be an IMPORTANT commentator for PAK when he stops playing cricket

Inzamam should start commentating in urdu, he would be hilarious to listen too(in a positive way).

Pretty good commentary, especially since he's so young and likely hasn't done it before- at least in English.

Someone mentioned him saying 'Inshallah', it seemed like it slipped out due to habit. Probably shouldn't use non-English words on an English broadcast but I don't think he meant it so not a big deal.

After Shaheen, he was possibly the best performer for Pakistan yesterday. :smith

Obviously.. you know.. I bit irritating tbh he talks too fast , his vocabulary should improve over next decade & maybe he can take over from Rambo , my bet in on Shan , obviously lol

Why are people judging him as as normal commentator? Critiquing his vocabulary and such. He was just a guest. People are just pointing out that he has the potential to be a full time commentator after his international career.

Imam's 20 minutes in the comm. box was better than Rambo's commentary in the 20 years.
