Makes a ton of excuses. Nevers accepts his mistakes especially against spin. Made some annoying comments during the players-ca strike. Now his catch of stuart broad kinda gives me a feeling he hadn't caught it either.

Well what do you want him to do? Come out and say that he's a dud against spin? This is international cricket,if pro players started coming out and accepting their mistakes publicly, they'd be chastised both on and off the field.

As for the Broad catch, I think what he did there was absolutely in the spirit of the game. He was unsure of the catch, umpires looked at it, remained not out . Bottom line is, if there was no conclusive evidence to overturn the decision on field, how can you question Khawaja's integrity?!

Get on with the game.

Agreed, poor cricketer and lacking integrity.

Ian Healy gives his take on that catch.

“Yes, so the umpires are 50m away,” he said.

“It is sort of still in his left hand. He is starting to lose it. He jams it against his right arm. Hasn't hit the deck yet. It might have rolled out of his finger there and gone on the deck, might have, but then it comes up with fingers under it again.”

Anyone with a shred of common sense will see that was clearly not out.

He did not catch that. I think he knew it too. But the fault lies with the umpires for giving it out on the field. The umpiring in this match has been abysmal.

There is a big difference between not admitting he is poor against spin and blaming the selectors for not picking him in Indian Tests and destroying his momentum. This guy is always looking for excuses instead of accepting the mistakes. There is a big fine line between sheer bloody minded grit and faulting others of his shortcomings. Khawaja certainly isn't the former.

Looked like he grassed it but it's all subjective from the angles shown on TV.

More of an umpiring fault.

Can't be giving those "OUT" on the field unless you're Angel from the X-Men. :))

I thought he caught it. It popped out of his left hand and he held it to his chest with his right hand.

Broad was surprised he was given out, he didn't think there was any bat involved.

What goes around comes around for Broad I guess.

But poor stuff from Khawaja.

Hah!

I think ump took a call after seeing the first instance of ball landing on the hands and did not see the ball popping out. Too much doubt to naked eye. Broad should consider himself unlucky!

Didn't he signal soon after he caught it, to go upstairs. That's pretty much the best he should have done. Don't know why he's being criticized.

P.S: No personal bias here. I don't care about him when he bats
