Misbah, in a media interaction, emphasized that his son Faham is just like any other cricketer, and requested that he shouldn't be associated with the former captain and be allowed to pursue his passion for the game

Only 16 years of age. Wait another 20 more years for debut.

Please have your goals set on Test cricket only young lad!

It depends on what he makes of his dad's Mohali innings. If he thinks it was a good innings for the team then he should only stick to red ball cricket.

We can't have tuk tuk version 2. The first version has done enough damage already.

Plot twist: he's Afridi 2.0 and will remain 16 forever. :batman:

The Tuk Tuk phenomena will haunt us forever. There is an under 19 player called Irfan who bats at 4. He is a iRobot younger version of Misbah ul Haq. I’m having nightmares of him representing Pakistan at number 4 and also becoming our captain.

The good thing is that his fitness won’t be an issue.

Sadly, can’t say the same for our most recent former captain, whose kids are aspiring to be like Azam Khan.

Every ex cricketer wants their kids playing cricket, but not every ex cricketer bothers to teach their kids about healthy diets….*coughs* Moin Khan … * coughs again* Azhar Ali.

Good to know that there is another Misbah in the making :), if he bats like his father than will support him.

I really hope this kid doesnt get hate due to his father. Whatever his father has done is separate from what he will do. But as some posts in this thread show, some people will still not stop from scoring personal points.

If he does make it to international level, he will be baring the parchi tag. Even if he gets selected on merit.

One thing I have noticed, if you belong from a cricketers family, the parchi tag always get associated with you.

Anyways, good luck to him and I hope he emulates his father in terms of batting and fitness. His fathers straight bat defence was a treat to watch against spinners.

That runs to balls ratio seems kinda familiar, although that 100+ score is very unfamiliar :)

In cricket, at some point as a batsman you need to learn how to score runs effectively to though

A 16 year old cricketer who actually looks 16.

Also how come most 2nd Gen cricketers in recent times turn out to be left handed batsmen

Rohan Gavaskar, Arjun Tendulkar, Tom Latham,Yuvraj Singh and now Faham. Imam another example even though a nephew of a cricketer. Coincidence?

Yep, definitely a statistical anomaly considering only 10% of population are lefties.

PS: What happened to Arjun? The poor guy was always gonna have a lot of expectations considering who his father is.

people really need to put some respect on misbahs name, yeh he played a few dodgy odi innings but he's scored 5000 tests runs for pak, and captained 50 tests, not something that happens by accident.

best of luck to the kid.

I agree people should respect him just like how they respected the rest of the x players.

A right hander can bat left handed. They become top hand dominant. I know a lot of people who bat left handed but are right handers in every other thing

Shawn marsh, Stuart broad, hamish rutherford, hrishikesh Kanitkar, surinder amarnath, sam curren - come readily to mind...yeah - is'nt it bizzarre?

An all-round performance from Central Punjab U16 Whites captain Mohammad Tayyab Arif helped his side to a 93-run win over Balochistan U16 Whites at the Head Mohammad Wala Stadium. Batting first Central Punjab scored 244 for six in 45 overs. Tayyab top-scored with a 104-ball 90, hitting nine fours and two sixes. His opening partner Faham-ul-Haq scored 62 off 80 balls, smashing eight fours. The pair added 176 runs for the first wicket.

Just recently during the MSL tournament, Misbah played against his own son Faheem

Anyone who has tried to coach their own kid will understand they never listen to you - so the kid has hope

Looks a decent prospect.

Big shoes to fill and the fact that his father is Misbah ul haq may make things a bit more difficult for him in his career.

the one he hit over fine leg was soo Misbah like, but the kid isn't ready though.

His father's specialty was his balance, his both feet would be on ground when playing a shot, while Faham is all over the place.

Misbah needs to work on his balance and make sure that Faham keeps both feet on ground when playing shots

If this lad ever ends up playing for Pakistan, he is going to have deal with the same level of hate from fools that his dad had to deal with. I hope he has a thick skin just like his dad had/has.

One positive aspect would be DISCIPLINE.

Misbah, unlike Moin khan would have inculcated discipline in his son's life right from the beginning along with focus on fitness and diet.

These things are a rarity in Pakistan teenage cricketers.

Wishing the young lad best of luck.

Misbah was a great cricketer but was just too conservative in his approach. He didn't want to change his ways and was too afraid in trying new things under his captaincy. Hopefully, he will be able to make his son a better cricketer than himself.

Balance would come with enough core strength. He is only 16.

Misbah's son, Faham Ul Haq, has finally made his u19 debut. He started his cricket from u-13, and since than been rising in the circuit.

He is a Bating allrounder that Bats with his Right hand, but bowls Medium Fast with his Left.

In the recent National Men's U19 Cup 2023/24, he scored a 124 and 45 runs as an opener.

Oh bhai, when I said to latch onto Misbah's son yesterday, I clearly said to latch onto him in a decade. Not now.

We don't need more parchi's and more imam's and Misbah's to represent Pakistan.

One crapola Whiteball batsmen was enough. His successor ain't needed.

Misbah' son now, may Allah protect him from evils good luck to him
If he's medicore but gets made captain like Shan was or gets made all format opener like Imam and Abdullah were then he needs to be critised. Plain and simple.

Either be a good international quality batsmen/all rounder or don't bother playing International cricket.

First let him play some matches then tear his clothes, but he is Misbah son so some people Will license to criticise him without any reason

I've seen him play, He's as rubbish as Itisam ul Haq.

Australia currently is playing Harry Dixon who's avg 101 in fc recently and 44 In List A. Dude is 19 yet built like a freak and is a natural replacement for Warner as both are left handed.

Had Dixon been in pakistan then he'd have already made his debut by now. While faham wouldn't have been fit to even lace the shoelaces or Gully cricketers had he been born in any other country.

He's awful

I hope Rana knows what is coming in the coming years. Could be parchi selection or not, time will tell.

Faham can perform and make his way into the teams for sure. Not everything is a parchi but yes, if he is being given preference over other guys having better records than him then speculation will rise.

Got 2 important wickets so far in his 6 overs today against India u19 in the Asia cup game.

Did nothing with the bat but he is certainly contributing with the ball. Can swing the ball as well, so pretty handy bowler.

8 overs 2/41 and 1 maiden over

I thought he was 130k bowler but sadly he is only 120k , not good enough for U19 even as a batting all rounder , him , farhan and Saad Baig are just passengers in the team headed by Sir Haroon Parchi.
Riaz Ullah is talented but he never performs as well.

His average speed must be 112-114. Not 120kph

It’s pathetic that 5 batters in the squad actually never performed/never player even at youth domestic level and yet they are part of the squad

Tayyab , Haroon had mediocre batting stats at both U19 international and youth domestic U19 , Farhan never played youth cricket , Saad Baig performed at U19 level but never clicked at U19 international level.

Should have picked some performing guy from youth domestic in order to strengthen the batting

haroon played well against afg in the tri series final

faham is not good at batting or bowling. His father needs to teach him how to bat.

Looks exact copy of Hussain Talat. Similar bowling style, similar speed, similar batting and similar potential.

He looks average tbf. Nothing special
Average is the 2nd name for Hussain Talat.

Hussain talat was far better than him during u19 days and has managed a solid domestic career. Faham with his current abilities won't make it to domestic level bar connections.
I don't know about that. Looking at the current domestic standard with so may teams. I am sure he will find a place there. It is hard not to also cause his Dad is a mentor. But it will be interesting to see if he opts for the Azam Khan route, AKA Leagues. Cause right now he is far from anywhere near International material.

He's not good enough for leagues. He can't hit. That's true looking at the standard of the teams he will get in but will be rubbish.

Faham-ul-Haq is on the list of local emerging players for the PSL Draft 2025.

Lol he’s now getting big deals. From the U19 Asia Cup to now the PSL

Faham ul Haq, playing for HEC in the President's Trophy 2025

Against Eshaal Associates:

0/25 with the ball and 21 with the bat (1st innings)
1/15 with the ball and 6 with the bat (2nd innings)

He absolut rubbish but some people were hyping up his single-digit scores just because he's Misbah's son in the recent Asia Cup and Tri-Nation series.
@m.shah @Rana I'm not even joking here are his scores

8* vs Bangladesh
34 vs Japan
20* vs UAE
4 vs India
6 vs Afghanistan
37 vs UAE
9 vs Afghanistan
3 vs Afghanistan

Struggling vs U19 top teams only good for Japan and UAE

I also heard a report that the coach of the u19 team rested a bloke called Shahzaib who smashed 2 tons previously as an opener to play Faham as an opener.

You can see he’s already getting that Rizwan treatment.
