Wondering if we should be surprised by such reactions on Social Media?

Wasim is absolutely right to be angry, , who are the morons giving him lecture on Islam.

Wasim Akram is at fault here. You got to be a bell-end to post a picture of your child on public social media platform.

Wasim is a celebrity and one expects that he knows social media well. He should have known that putting the picture of his daughter on social media would result in troll comments. Yet he chose to do so. I cannot see what he is complaining about?

I don’t see anything wrong with the clothes. That is how six year olds wear in the west.

Wasims jahaliyat shows his ugly head on a regular basis, not a smart decision from a celebrity sportsman and what did he expect on a public platform

Even those who are living in the Islamic environment wouldn't have any problem with that clothes she is wearing, these are the people who will smoke and drink and give others a lecture.
But Waseem should have ignored that because we know social media comments is filled with abusive users, trolls with controversial comments.

Same obnoxious and vile comments were also thrown towards Shakib Al hasan's daughter recently. Atleast spare children from your filth O you ignorant sub-continental fools.

Not a SC only phenomenon unfortunately happens everywhere throughout the world

Why does it even matter how a six year should dress? Six year old kids are just kids. But obviously Im not surprised as subcontinent is one of the worst places for children. Many many children get abused physically in these part of the world be it India, Pakistan or Bangladesh. Indian Sub-continent ******** of a place for women and children.

Atleast elsewhere people dont use religion as a tool to justify their obnoxious behaviour. Also Indians, Pakistanis and Bangladeshis cant be topped by anyone for social abusing and bullying. Cricket pages are a great example of that.

Whats wrong with putting his family picture on SM, I would like to know. If you guys still living in some dark age, let others live as they wish too. Wasim never gave any lecture on religion and he should be given too.

He deserves some respect for him and his family , is that too much to ask or you guys unable to provide him with that .

Wasim should ignore nobodies on social media.

Wasim being a family man, posted a picture of his little princess on social media , expecting some heart warming comments but see what he got and surprisingly some pinheads think Wasim has to get clearance from them with their own interpretation of religion to do any thing, absurd. Wish I could use some stronger words for those people.

Everyone deserves respect but there are some hard realities of this world that one must take into account.

For a celebrity, troll comments on social media are a hard fact of life and a price to pay for fame. I'm not supporting it, only saying that it happens. One cannot expect everyone in this world to have impeccable behaviour.

Wasim, being such an experienced celebrity, should know this better than most others.

Basically Wasim has two options . 1. He doesn't post pictures of his daughter on social media or 2. He posts her pictures anyway and gives a damn to anyone who has anything to say about it.

Choosing option 2 and then complaining about trolls is a bit naiive.

Not sure why we should post any pics of our family on social media - its not a nice place.

Unfortunately celebrity children's everywhere are a target

But we should try to actively discourage that sort of behavior on social media meanwhile celebrities should post stuff about thier kids very carefully because it's a cruel world out there

You'll get this as a celebrity on social media. You and your loved ones will be judged left right and center. Wasim should've blocked him and DMed him to stay in his limits if he really wanted to reply. The anger is valid though. You don't comment on
someone's family. That's a line crossed.

His daughter is 6 years old, maybe he thought at that age folk would have more sense than to give advice to dress modestly. What goes through the minds of those people who think she is dressed provocatively?

Wasim should ignore jahalat from some of the comments. Thats how things are in this world right now as everyone has a voice.

Learn the difference between Public and Private SM. This has nothing to do with religion.

Feel free to post pics of your family on a public platform so you can claim you live in the 21st century. I'm guessing you will happily embrace strangers drooling over your family, and peados over your kids.

He should have just ignored. Those lowlifes don't deserve his attention.

In an ideal world, there would be nothing wrong.

But, this is not an ideal world. There are many messed up people on the internet.

It is not about religion. It is about safety and mental peace.

Why is it only desi celebrities who have to face such kind of comments? Don’t really see this anywhere else. Even arab it is not so common. But in desis it happens even ive seen it in Indian Hindus too so it’s not just Muslims

Good question. I wish these things wouldn't happen but you can't really control people. One solution is to disable the comment feature but I doubt social media sites would do that.

Also, desi cultures are generally conservative in nature and it is probably why we see this type of comment. It has more to do with culture than religion.

One word - Education.

Desis are also very intrusive and many do not know how to mind their own business. Most are also very judgemental.

Probably a hangover of child marriages, something which seems to have been more prevalent in subcontinent than anywhere else.

You lot for real? Have you seen the abuse/comments the Beckham kids used to recieve after their parents posted pics of their kids on public SM? This is one example.

It's not just a desi thing. Sickos don't care about race.

Anyone who sees something wrong the way a 6 year old girl is dressed here, should get himself checked by a psychiatrist and should be kept away from children of any age.

That is not the point.

The point is that when you have a public profile with thousands of followers, you are bound to get all kinds of comments.

Wasim needs to grow a thicker skin and not engage with such people. If you don’t want people commenting on your family pictures, simply disable comments on that picture.

Wasim is really naive if he thinks people will mind their own business on social media. No one does.

I am not actually sure whether Wasim posted this picture, because I couldn’t find it on his Instagram profile. Not too sure where it came from. Perhaps someone else uploaded it.

I just checked. It is not there. Wasim probably removed it.

He needs to learn to ignore trolls and idiots n not feed them by responding

Those who are criticising Wasim should have done it when he married an Australian girl. She is a six year old girl and her mother is Australian. Don't expect her to learn all the desi sanskaars and lifestyle in the future as well. :inti

People who have a problem with her wearing those types of clothes at that age need to have a hard look at themselves in the mirror and stay away from kids and get therapy.

For people saying that the "person" might be a pedophile

It was a female who replied to wasim's post
Look closely down below

Sounds like a male name bro, unless you are reading it as Samira.

Apparently women can’t abuse.

I guess they don’t even make such practices acceptable.

Of course, such a disgusting viewpoint held by a woman can’t have deleterious affect on society.

I was just talking about pedophilia man...

Never justified what she said

Frustrated, jahil, depraved mullahs are a dangerous specimen...and unfortunately far too many of them in our society.

I think you people are not getting it. Read it again.

The guy is asking the little girl to make wasim wear better clothes :))

Well, that shows that person’s hypocrisy.

Both weren’t adhering to Islamic customs, but only one was an adult.
