Even a Juniors u15 side are not as incompetent at judging reviews the way our National Test side is.

We have absolutely no one on the field sensible enough to understand the game and take correct reviews. Just now, the review that was wasted on Mulder. Like, kuch bhi??

Maybe now adays but historically pak have the highest success rate when taking reviews. Nearly 35 percent of all reviews taken by pak have been successful.

That was when you had Misbah and Younis in the side for most part of it. These two gents understood the game pretty well and would not be bullied into taking reviews by their roti gang buddies.

Now it seems anyone can convince anyone in the Pakistan side to take a review. Its shocking. Rizwan is a very good keeper but it seems like he doesnt read the game or the line of the ball in most cases

Pakistan are not even the worst reviewing side in this series, did you see De Kocks reviews, especially last match?

just as we say that another wasted review, Babar looks a little over excited every time he has the oppurtunity.

When do we get our reviews back? or do we simply rely on the umpires now until the end of the match?

Yep rizwan jumped in excitement as if je jad won the world cup, convinced babar to take the review and now all reviews gone.

Can we please take Rizwan out of the occasion when it comes to taking reviews just like Misbah has been taken out of the occasion for team selection?

India is not a good team with reviews.
Used to be really good till Dhoni.. Now kohli goes with bowlers mostly who are excited.

The highest success rate was during Sarfaraz's captaincy tenure until COVID. Since then, the success rate has been low.

After the reviews were increased to three due to COVID and home umpires, almost all teams review success percentage has gone down since they are taking gambles. But yes, Pakistan's numbers are among the worst since the England series last year.

Another review bites the dust for Babar and co.

I have to admit I really thought this might be out.

Pakistan have been undisputed world champs at effing up DRS reviews. I hereby declare them ATG status.

Rizwan is just terrible at judging reviews from behind the stumps and with everyone standing away he's the only one they can rely on.

Babar is really dumb.

This guy cant captain

kiyon Bhai why is he dumb? it was Rizwan's feedback that led him to take the DRS review. Why not calling Rizwan dumb? he was clearly the nearest person and he was blind enough not to see the edge.

Yes everytime babar mess up with review blame rizwan.

This is the third time and ebery time rizwan is blamed.

Babar azam.is captain its hia decision

You do realize that the keeper and bowler are the ones who provide the insight most of the time (for fielding reviews)… How the hell is Babar supposed to know if a batsman is LBW from midwicket? :))

Pakistan’s success rate for DRS was the best from 2017-2020. It’s just since COVID that the rules have been changed that all teams are taking more reviews and thus the success rate has gone down. Admittedly, Pakistan’s success rate has gone down more than the other teams though.

Awful stuff

They collectively dont seem to have a clue

And there goes our 2nd review. No edge so it wasn't out caught, and no hope of an LBW.

Final decision is with the captain.
Rizwan is always so adamant and forces Babar to take a review. You can blame Babar for not being strong enough to overrule Rizwan, but the way Rizwan’s always so sure, especially when it’s clearly not out, he has to take some blame in these referrals.

And babar again keeps on taking bad reviews

Clearly, I can see you have some personal issues with Babar. Bhai what you are saying is don't trust your fielders and don't take review if the captain himself is not confident

You have the genius Rizwan calling all the shots
I mean, for the second one, he was literally gesturing for the review before Babar even had time to think, and it was clearly not out . He’s a senior player, and of course the keeper, he needs to be doing better with helping Babar to make these DRS calls. Especially considering he’s pretty spotless with everything else right now.

They need to all sit down n rethink the process because at rhe moment its very adhoc take a punt sort of thinking which never works

Misbah needs to tell them its only supposed to be for 100% outs

All 3 keeper bowler and captain need to be certain before a re view is taken
Babar n rizwan cant be trigger happy to take the review but rather the opposite where they are both hestitant unless 100%

They shouldnt be reviewing them for 50-50s or taking a chance Rizwan needs to be up his game and help his captain out a bit and babar needs to start asking more questions rather than just going along with every request

Personal issues? How couls i have personal issuea.

Captain makes the final call.

I have seen our past captains consult and than make decision. Afridi would always say take review but the captajn would intervene on such decisions.

You nees to know how to consult.

If so than thay shows babar has no control and isnt good enough leader that he gets over rules.

Review is only accepted by the captain, no one else.

No one forces anyone. Thats what the captain is for, to take stands.

Afridi uses to do this alot, yet his captain would be careful.

In psl we see alot of reviews, are all the wrong reviews the fault of the keeper?

Afridi was not the wicket-keeper…

The wicket-keeper is the single most important player on the pitch when it comes to fielding reviews.

And Babar does it when batting also!

Pretty selfish in my opinion

What is Babar doing reviewing that? The easiest LBW decision any umpire would ever make, only 2 reviews in an innings and one of them brainlessly wasted. You don't get unlimited reviews Babar :facepalm

Really poor when you consider that both the captain and wicketkeeper combined to make such a poor decision. So immature and selfish.

Credit where credit's due. A successful review by Babar and co!

amir1.jpg

Babar and vc captain wasting another one

Do these players have no sense Rizwab was plumb

I strongly urge the Prime Minister of Pakistan to revoke Mohammad Rizwan's influence in taking reviews for Pakistan

Utter Embarressment!!

Babar seem to have no authority He can be forced to take a review by anyone

Couldnt he tell rizwan from the other end to jog on thats plumb?

I disagree with the OP. In my opinion, Pakistan are the greatest test cricket nation and hence they can't be worst in DRS decisions.

We must be setting a record for rate of review loss

amir1.jpg

Well that is an unbelievably horrible LBW review from Sarfaraz

amir1.jpg

Ive noticed pakistani players have no concept of saving a review for a bad decision

Even if its hitting middle half way up they ll use it All theyre interested is saving their wicket and in the process they dont mind losing a review

Mominul Haque of Bangladesh takes the prize for this.

Didn't review at least two stone dead LBW decisions which cost Bangladesh the Test where WI chased down 395, and ultimately cost them the series.

I think Bangladesh are the worst at taking reviews.

I agree.

And there goes both of Karachi's reviews in the 2nd over of the game. Just because Amir bowled a good ball, he just runs around going "of course it's out, review it!!!!!!". Twice. In the same over. And they were both unsuccessful.

amir1.jpg
amir2.jpg

Sarfaraz has blown both his teams reviews after 4 overs. First an LBW that pitched way outside leg, and missed the stumps by even more. Secondly a caught behind review that neither bowler nor Sarfaraz even initially appealed for.

Madness

amir3.jpg

And now Shan and Rizwan together decided this LBW decision was worth a review

Can Shaheen Afridi be trusted to take reviews?

I personally feel the guy doesn’t understand the LBW rule. Someone needs to sit him down and explain what is an lbw, what is likely to be called out and not out.

He forces captains to take ridiculous reviews off his bowling. Plus, he appeals like a mad man even if the ball has pitched miles outside leg stump. He is currently our premier bowler, but these appeals make us look stupid as a cricketing nation, especially when the captain is overpowered and gives in.

Can you imagine Kohli or Morgan taking reviews on the excitement of their immature and excited young pacers? Extremely selfish stuff by Shaheen. It didn’t cost us yesterday luckily but it makes the game so much more difficult when you have unnecessarily burned a review in the first over, sets a poor tone for the side and then your captain and keeper are always unsure for the rest of the innings.

A serious call for maturity and selflessness is required by the bowlers, we cannot afford take these things for granted

He does understand lbw but I think he is selfish and greedy sort of person. I hope with age he gets rid of this self-centered and greedy approach to reviews.

The worrying thing is that the captain doesn’t seem to take any input from Rizwan. You could clearly see that Rizwan didn’t want the review but Babar still went ahead with it knowing that Shaheen does get over-excited far too often.

It’s more of a sense of entitlement from Shaheen

“I am the best bowler so I deserve the review to be taken if I want to”

You will see this sense of entitlement in Babar’s batting too, he will definitely take a review whenever he is given out LBW regardless of how plumb he is

Selfish and poor reviews by our batsmen

Seems like its every man for them self when it comes to taking reviews with our batsmen.

Hafeez use to be the king of this. Imam and fawad stupid took selfish reviews in this inns it then has an effect on rest of team as 2 reviews have been burned. Im sure if we had 2 or 3 reviews left rizwan would referred his, instead hes left in situation where he couldnt take a risk.

well done imam and fawad stupidity at the highest level, as if your pathetic dismissals were humiliation enough.

Reviews only?

Watched 3rd test for all 5 days and first 2 tests for hours. Pakistani batsmen are playing for themselves.

It seems everyone playing for personal milestones and don't even have the slightest of courage to go for a win.

Second time this series Imam has reviewed a pretty straight forward decision . Such selfishness among our players is really depressing to see.

The captains at the other end Surely he should also be blamed Shouldve sent them both packing instead of doing this

The leadership of the team is a shambles at the moment and thats reflected individually in the team

Pakistan continue to be far too trigger-happy with dead-end reviews

Another poor review that the bowler goads Babar into taking.

Looking at the intellectual capacity of our illiterate cricketers, im not shocked at all why we take the most bizarre reviews.

In the field a lot of the blame must go to Rizwan. The keeper is the most important person when it comes to referrals and we have the worst without question. Babar has to take the advice from Rizwan but I think he's lost faith in him.

Not saying that there aren't really bad reviews taken by our team, but it's easy for us to crap on our players when we have a way better view from straight on, while the bowlers are looking at an angle and the keeper has his vision blocked

All 3 Stumps Visible

Ball Clearly Pitching Outside

There Was no Turn on the Ball

Still Ball Turns a Mile and Hits stumps
