I think this was a breakthrough series for Babar. Time has come now to take responsibility, bat at 4 in tests and start becoming a prolific run-scorer.

He can only become a run machine if he becomes mentally strong. He’s got all the ingredients but no one can predict where he’ll end up because he’s Pakistani so he’s unpredictable by nature.

I am not worried about centuries. I want him to finish games. I haven't seen one game where he has taken Pakistan through to end. He always gets out at crucial moments.

He isn't a minnow basher. The next 15 ODIs before the WC, he has a chance to prove it . Scoring big knocks against these teams will increase his reputation.

I don't the hype around Babar Azam. Test average of 35, ODI avg of 51 inflated by beating SL, WI(minnows). Sure he can play a few good strokes but he's a very mediocre player.

Saad Ali is a much better batsman.

Saad Ali hasn't played International Cricket so don't know how you have come to that conclusion.

Yes, an established international cricketer with decent stats is mediocre, while someone who hasn’t even been selected for Pakistan yet is better.

Saad Ali has a much better, consistent FC average than Babar. Much more centuries too. If given a chance he will outperform Babar.
