[PICTURES] Clear ball tampering from England?

Pathetic from England. They didn't need to cheat to dismiss this Indian batting.

well its against india so dont really care or see anything wrong.

I would go with Broad here

Ironically, Broad was caught in a almost facsimile copy of this back on the tour of South Africa in 2009 :)) Of course he is going to defend this.

The final decision is up to the umpires.

It does not look good for England.

Looks like someone is stopping the ball from rolling.

Unless there is a video of them intentionally destroying the balls surface, its nothing.

I watched this live and the images make it look far worse than it actually was. Didn't seem intentional to me.

It's also hilarious to see Indian fans label this as an open-shut case of ball tampering while simultaneously defending Tendulkar for 20+ years who was clearly caught digging his nails into the ball in one of the most brazen acts of ball tampering I've ever seen.

How do you dig your nails into a leather ball?? Why get so desperate to prove that others are also as big a cheat.

This is a possible case of digging studs into a ball with the whole body weight.

They were caught doing the same thing on the SA tour years back and were given a slap on the wrist only.

so?

Are you implying some sort of conspiracy?
Yea he is, and it’s kinda annoying.

You can screenshots a million different frames to prove a million different things, but the reality can only be realized when you look at the complete image, in this case the video.

A mountain of a molehill.

The England team caused a flutter when two of its players tried playing a bit of “football" with the red cherry during the post-lunch session on the fourth day of the second Test here.

A footage from the official broadcasters emerged where one England player passed the ball to another, who used his spikes to trap it, raising a social media storm as accusations of ball tampering flew thick and fast.

However, Indian batting coach Vikram Rathour felt it was “not deliberate".

“We saw it much later but I don’t think it was deliberate," Rathour said at the post-day press conference.

The Indian team hasn’t lodged an official complaint with match referee Chris Broad. The incident was recorded in the 35th over of the Indian second innings, bowled by Ollie Robinson.

The footage didn’t show the face of the players. The matter did not escalate and the umpires didn’t change the ball.

In fact, when an Indian fan asked Stuart Broad on social media if it was intentional, the injured England seamer replied: “Of course, it wasn’t."

Broad’s explanation was that if the umpires needed to check the ball after the particular incident to ensure it hasn’t been fiddled with, then every six would warrant a ball check

One spike on a ball does not cause the ball to start reversing around corners! That's not how reverse swing works!

I would dearly love England to be proved as ball tampering cheats given all their accusations against pakistan over the years, but this is just reaching by Indian fans!

Indians should look at the real reasons why they are in the current position - poor batting. E.g. Rohit, fell for a simple 3 card trick that even schoolboys wouldn't fall for!
