[PICTURES] Fitness levels in Pakistan domestic cricket need a major improvement...

Leave domestic cricket aside. I doubt any player in Pakistan can run 5k.

I guess the yo-yo test isn't part of domestic cricket

Sad to see Sami really unfit. He was a very fit quick bowler while playing for Pakistan.

Only in cricket can you get away with such fitness and physique and pot bellies why have go at this guy when our selector the great inzi couldn't even run and our current captain wicketkeeper is a right aloo paratha mango achar player .

Any other physical sport people like this will be called Sunday league players but they wouldn't last long because the body would not able to handle such competiveness say football hockey rugby .

If football was national sport clowns like this would not be playing since they would be having a heart attack within 10 minutes of running even at a non league amateur level , even at amateur Sunday league level u need good fitness as a footballer just look at some non league football in England on a Saturday or Sunday some fit non pro players .

I'm getting sick of the way cricket is being prioritised in Pakistan a sport bereft with corruption and nepotism throughout the country at the expense of any other sport .

I mean is any of the masses in Pakistan watching these local games do these sides even have any supporters or loyal fans like you have with the ipl teams or the tribalism you get with football even in Egypt and Middle East look at their ultra fans at the football games absolutely menancing support and fanaticism in Egypt you have riots .

The big reason cricket became our goto game instead of Hockey. Players like Inzamam and Shoaib Akhtar became our heroes with atrocious fitness standards

I really dig the QG color scheme of deep purple with khaki pants. Looks hella slick.

You really expect standards from your domestic team, when Inzamam captained your international side?

"Without fitness now, players can't survive because there is so much cricket being played. International cricket, leagues etc. and all this is pressure cricket. If you don't stay fit, survival is difficult. Look at the top teams, even India, they have a lot of professionalism. We are trying to become like the top teams in this aspect and there will be no compromise"
