He is more selfish than Babar.

He can never be a difference maker. He may score impact less centuries here and there which will need to be complimented by more impactful batters and bowlers to turn into a match winning performance.

Highly limited and not suitable for ODI cricket in 2025. He is born 30 years too late.

PCB Selector's logic:

Usman Khan was better than Imam to be selected in the squad of 15 for the CT 2025....
But then Imam is better than Usman Khan to be selected in the playing XI vs India.

👏 👏 👏

Scored 10 off 26 balls and gets run out because he is not quick enough to take a close single... CRAAZY

Any decent left-hander would have hit 3 boundaries in the first over of the match, where Shami was bowling waywardly and bowling hit me hard balls, but this guy was too respectful of the bowlers and played too cautiously.
It's unfortunate for India that he got out.:trump2

If he hadn’t been run out he would have helped Pakistan get solid total . Tough luck

I can see them struggling to pull their stomach in. Man these guys are totally unfit. Shaheen is okay.
Just look at them. Look at Imam. Who will say this is proffesional athlete?

Unfit.

His innings today is another slap on those who still support this timid team.

Once a liability always a liability.

Imam after poor show with the bat, missed a close catching opportunity for Pakistan against India. The batter was Shubman Gill

Imagine averaging like 12 runs and a SR in the 60's and seeing both of them somehow go down from this match.

A mental midget and a loser. Hope this is permanent end for him ODI wise.

I have a question to the PCB and selectors as follows:

If Usman Khan was selected in the final 15, that means he was viewed by the current selectors as the next best option to open the batting after Fakhar Zaman and Saim Ayub.

After Fakhar was unavailable, then it should have been a no-brainer to select Usman Khan, based on the 15 man squad.

How is it possible that a replacement player from outside of the 15 man squad came in and opened ahead of him? Doesn't this demonstrate a lack of clarity in the selection process from the team management/selectors and bring into question the overall policies of the PCB?

I do not personally think that Imam Ul Haq should be anywhere near the final 15, however, if the selectors or PCB viewed that he should be the backup opener, then why wasn't he selected in the 15? Why did they waste Usman Khan's time? What was the point of selecting Usman Khan if there was no chance he was going to play?

Your thoughts?

The only explanation is he was just a backup wicketkeeper for Rizwan. Nothing else.

They never considered him as an opener.

It's bizarre because it was smarter to just use him as an opener (especially in the UAE) and pick a second spinner. Or push Tayyab Tahir up into that position if you don't like Usman.

Imam's selection was bizarre and perhaps shows how deep their heads were buried in the sand. They actually thought what they were doing was sensible.

Unlucky yesterday
Yes , really sad that a fielder did normal expected fielding when ball hit at pace straight to him and having 3 stumps to aim. He was on his way for 240 ball 100 at the rate which he was going.

Former Pakistan cricketer Iqbal Qasim, while speaking on a local sports TV show:

"You brought Imam-ul-Haq back into the team after around 1.5 years or slightly less than that, and now the world is expecting him to perform. Look, if he were an outstanding player, I would have believed that he could adjust easily. But we all knew that his adjustment in the team would be very difficult."

"Besides, when a player has already been out of the team, making a comeback is always tough. What should have been done was to keep Imam on the bench and play the player who was already part of the squad. In fact, an off-spinner should have been included in the squad—at least there was an opportunity to add a spinner. If that had been done, you would have seen how much of a difference it would have made to the results."

It was only in relation to prayer. There's no need to mention it!

'Imam'...idk him out he's turd
Yeah there is no need to mention the fact that Rizwan wants to exclude non Muslims?

Like what will happen if a non Muslim accidentally or even intentionally enters your setting during prayer? The Allah you pray to isn’t the Allah of that person?

The most you can and should do is let the hotel staff or the people wherever you are know that “we will be praying at this time, please try and not disturb us”

You don’t go out of your way to make the area somewhere that non Muslims cannot access at all.

This is why I agree with Shoaib Akhtar’s ajeeb o gharib statement about Rizwan. He isn’t a proper representative of Islam and yet he wants to be seen as one!

Is he another one of those tribal wackjobs?

Sorry non Muslims

You have no place in Rizwan’s Pakistan XI
This is utterly hilarious when rizwan isn't even a proper Muslim with proper ethics. All these boys are hypocrites and aren't true practising Muslims.

The last true Muslims we had were saeed, and yousaf who were truly committed to the cause.

Once yousaf realised that islam was better then Christianity (no offence to any Christians here, just speaking from yousaf's perspective) he devoted whole heartedly ro the cause. And saeed was born religious. Asif ali was another true practising muslim and tbf so was asad shafiq and azhar ali even though these 2 weren't that good as cricketers.

The rest are hypocrites. Sarfi isn't a hypocrite but he doesn't adhere to all rules of Islam, however he does do umrah and hajj to wipe out his past mistakes and acknowledges he isn't perfect.

The rest are wannabes

No true practising muslim acts like rizwan. One of the core messages of Islam is to treat others how you yourself wish to be treated. Does rizwan adhere to this? Aka I want no 4? It's mine?

Rizwan should be prioritizing cricket. This tablighi mindset is ruining pakistani cricket. No disrespect to anyones religiou's obligations but the tablighib bros are more into imposing their religious beliefs even if the other person is uncomfortable.

Why can't they pray privately at Rizwan's own room or any other players room? I am sorry to say but sometimes it feels Rizwan & his teammates are under the false impression that they are the only Muslims who pray 5 times a day. Many Muslims all over the world does that without talking about it in public

It is very try hard tablighism but why is Hack releasing such info

Absolutely. Whenever I hear Rizwan I see some sort of arrogance & Self righteousness in his tone. He should calm down and learn to stay humble whenever he speaks. He should answer to the point instead of saying uncessary stuff

Tbh bro, there is no such thing as knowing who a truly Muslim is. That’s for God to decide. He knows who is what spiritually. All you can do is try your best to follow the laws of Islam with sincerity from within, not out of compulsion on the outset. The final decision is with God. He may decide to reward a genuinely good person with many flaws more than a genuinely spiritual person who follows his command to the letter. We don’t know the wisdom of our Lord, only He does.

My issue here is more in relation to what Imam is conveying about the current captain of Pakistan cricket. From what I understand, Pakistan belongs to everyone, not just the Muslims. It’s a bit shocking to think that the captain of Pakistan due to his interpretation of Islam (which is questionable) is going out of his way to exclude non-Muslims in territories and in a way dehumanising them.

Just my way of looking at this, I just don’t agree with it.

Isn't it fascinating how he picked Kushdil which is probably his buddy and a parchi from Punjab in Faheem. Coupled with this Talibanization of the team like what Inzamam did in 2005, I don't think he is the right fit for being a captain.

I suppose finding someone normal in Pakistan is a challenge. :ROFLMAO:
