Top post and I share your sentiment. To answer your early question, ofcourse I am against rape, mistreatment of Kashmiris. However I am in full support of our brave army men safeguarding India's interest, my view has always been, if provoked then the guilty should be punished.

If Kashmiris want to live peacefully, they need to stop listening to the Pakistani brain washing, with stone pelting, taking up arms supplied by them etc. Lets be honest Kashmiri's if they used their brain would easily realize they are being used to be a nuisance to India, they should also easily be able to realize that India holds all the political might in the international arena so Pakistan cannot do anything even if they had the military might. Kashmir was quite a peaceful place in the early 80's before Pakistan started sending terrorists across the border.

So what do Kashmiri's do ? move on with their lives, stop wasting their lives pelting stones and taking up arms for an alliance with Pakistan or an independent state. Say all you want; God will liberate Kashmiris from India or that the oppressed will always find freedom etc, however they just wont in the case of Kashmir. Some posters here may say look what happened to the Germans in WW2, however the only issue there was that more than half the world was against Germany in WW2, not many if any country will raise a single sound against India when it comes Kashmir, so game over... The quicker Kashmiris realize they are nothing but pawns to Pakistan the better for them or they can keep pelting stones and keep ruining their lives...

Since you have hardly had any democracy in Pakistan, and have no relation to secularism let me tell you a few things.

Secular country means the laws are secular and the state has no religion not absence of religion among its people.

Democracy means people can elect anyone they like, Left Right Center anyone.

Most indians dont know that the secular word was added to the constitution in 1975 by Indira Gandhi though. Not that it really affected the reality on the ground to need to shoehorn this word after her father and Ambedkar were against doing it.

The word was added to the preamble in 1975. The laws were secular as decided by the constituent assembly.
