[PICTURES] Pakistan's new ODI cricket kit unveiled

Hopefully the sleeves don’t fit this terribly on the actual thing

Love it. But how are average fans supposed to purchase them when they are priced at 4.5k on the Online PCB Shop?

Thse guys have no muscles. Cant blame the company when these guys only go to the gym for a photo shoot lmao.

Hassan is the only one that looks like hes an athlete.

Yea maybe but they are suppose to stitch as per the players fitting right?
These guys are representing Pakistan they need to look presentable not like they worn their big brother clothes .

No one buys orignal shirts. There isnt any trend in Pakistan.

They keep changing the shirt from series to series that fans dont have kne define jersey to wear.

Plus, replicas are much cheaper

Yes I know. However, if PCB has taken so much time and effort to launch an official online store, the least they can do is price products reasonably for Pakistani customers.

They better not use this design for the WT20, it’s so dull.

AJ sports cannot design a kit.

And the easypaisa logo🤦🏻*♂️

For God sake please do a deal with Nike, Asics, Addidas, Columbia or Reebok

The two kits that have stood out most for me are the T20I kit that they are sporting currently, and the 2019 WC kit.

This is somewhat similar to 2019 with a bit of retro 80s shades thrown in.

Sponsors usually come to others not the other way around with a begging bowl.

Why can't we have the 1999 kit again I'll never know.

There are fan versions as well. T20I shirt’s shirt fan version is 3k and is currently on early bird discount at 2.5k.

These ODI ones will launch on Sep 17th and might have fan versions too.

This easypaisa sponsor makes me cringe so hard everytime I look at it.

Easypaisa -.- Can't we choose a better sponsor to partner with

Easypaisa is not some small brand. It has become a very huge brand, infact it has revolutionized the payment system of pakistan.

India had paytm as there sponsor so dont really know why pakistanis get bothered by easypaisa.

There is no point. These companies dont really sell products in Pakistan. They barely have any shops that sell original merchandise which is 3-5 years old.

Nike and Adidas have official stores in Pakistan but, not sure how many cities they are present in. Reebok was there (Wasim Akram launched it and as per information back then was the investor) however, not 100% sure about its current presence.

So they have stores but, if its something like merchandise where you want to target the whole country’s fanbase then you need to have presence in most cities. However, selling it online is the modern way to do it and to increase the range of distribution without having store presence.

If Nike or any other company would have had a deal to design and manufacture then they would have had a share in the sales which will take place from PCB’s website.

They have stores, but the general popukation cant afford anything from there. Its only for the upper class. Pakistan cricket is followed by the lower and middle class mostly and they wont buy a very expensive shirt from reebok or nike.

Most jerseys here are like 100 dollars. Paying like 35-40 dollars is not too bad.

Looks decent to me. Half sleeves one is looking much better than full sleeves.
I guess this will look good on screen.

They are catering to international audience. It’s only 20 bucks in pounds so it’s very cheap in comparison with others

Yeah I get that. And I don't mind it. But they should have made an adjustment of prices for Pakistani consumers. If everyone can buy official jerseys online at an affordable rate, they will have little reason to buy fake kits that are readily available at sports shops.

The way I see it, PCB is missing out on serious cash by shrinking the size of their market and using essentially, premium pricing to appeal to a small market.

Yeah but even that is not something most people will be able to afford. Considering the kit is made in Pakistan that's very high. 1k or 1.5k would have been more reasonable, in my opinion. At any rate, I will definitely be availing the early bird discount.

Looks a bit dull and plain on the first look...maybe it'll grow on me.

However, the fitting looks TERRIBLE! Everyone, except SSA, looks like they've just gotten out of bed! What's up with the loose fit? Nothing in Pak surprises me anymore though - so unprofessional

The colours are good but any reason why we can’t have Pakistan written on the front under the Pepsi logo?

Looks like the Pepsi team more then the Pakistan team , rather see Pakistan written across the shirt ps the worst sponsor ever.. a horrible fizzy drink🤮 ,
Btw I can offer PCB a good deal to supply QUALITY kits as these new shirts @RS 4K are daylight robbery ridiculously low quality 🤦🏽*♂️

Decent design, terrible fitting like most people pointed out.

Would loved to have seen some more color on the lower part.

I'm sorry, but I am not a fan of this kit. It looks too... meh.

I liked the last ODI kit we had, the one we played against England this year.

Doesn't appeal to me.

Not one of the best designs I've seen.

Give me the 92, 99 and 2011 World Cup shirts any day of the week.

The name is cringey though, not doubting the brand ik it's part of telenor

I read that India had a similar issue with Nike as their kit supplier. Indian posters can confirm if there is any truth to it. Nike kits were expensive so most people just kept buying copies.

But obviously India has a much more massive middle class and upper class. So alot of people were probably buying branded Nike kits too.

Personally, I don't get this obsession with getting Nike, Reebok or other big brands to be our kit supplier. What's wrong with AJ or CA? Some of the kits they have produced have looked brilliant. Including the current T20 kit.

India's kit supplier is MPL Sports. A subsidiary of MPL, which until recently was a Bangalore-based start-up.

So I don't know where this inferiority complex has come from. AJ and CA are good brands to have as kit suppliers. And they do produce good kits.

I would appreciate it much more if the PCB just priced the kits more reasonably at Rs. 1000 on their online store so that much more people would be able to afford it, and they wouldn't be losing such a massive market that just goes out and buys cheaper copies. Most people I know, would prefer if they could order something online, rather than go out and get it.

But PCB is too greedy trying to make money off overseas Pakistanis. They can still do that will pricing items more reasonably on their store for Pakistani consumers.

I’d much rather have a better team instead of a better kit. And I’m pretty sure we will have better kits once our team starts performing better than they have been for the last 2 decades.
