[PICTURES] Pathum Nissanka - A new hope for Sri Lanka?

Nissanka is feeding off the pathetic bowling lineup of Bangladesh at home.

Another top knock from the Sri Lankan opener. Hundred at Galle and now one in Colombo.

Not that pathetic. They did whitewash PAK in PAK with their attack . Credit to Nissanka for putting them under the pump and dominating them from the start

Context matters vs Bangladesh.

The issue with Pakistan was shan and overall ego.

The likes of shaheen and Babar were finished in cricket. Not only did they lose form which they have but they lost all interest in the format. Secondly they curated a road and lastly they had a captain who has a history of letting sides recover from collapsed position.

In the first test Pakistan scored 400+. They could have easily scored 600 runs but they didn't because they wanted to go for a win (wtc) and not a draw.

They declared thinking Bangladesh would fumble not realising that the pitch was a road and Bangladesh wasn't playing with the mentality of winning.

Bangladesh was happy to play a very slow innings and force Pakistan to take all wickets. Pakistan's so called aggressive plan backfired and then they completly collapsed as they had zero stamina to play in the heat after Bangladesh forced them to stay out for nearly 3 days.

It led to a collapse and Bangladesh won.

Similarly the 2nd innings was entirely shan's fault, possibly the worst field set ive ever seen that led to Bangladesh closing the gap + Pakistan's horrible fitness exposed yet again.

Current test Pakistan is weak but they will beat Bangladesh in a neutral den or even home den.

Mainly cause shan is 100% going to be replaced by Kamran Ghulam, Agha salman has become a better batsmen and the new crop of bowlers while rubbish are still test ready as compared to shaheen who no longer has the stamina for it.

If its a spinning pitch, sajid and noman while not ad effective as they are on doctored pitches, would still scale > Bangladeshi spinners.

@Nikhil_cric another thing, England actually exposed Pakistan 10x more then Bangladesh.

Unlike Bangladesh, Pakistan didnt have an ego, you could tell they were playing for a draw and forced england to bowl Pakistan out in the heat.

England then responded by making Pakistan stay outside for 3.5 days. England probably wanted to punish Pakistan brutally but realised that they should just go for the win.

Unlike Bangladesh, England declared at a time where their just enough overs left and Pakistani fielders were sweating, panting and honestly needed medical services just to function.

England knew that despite it being a road, those 20 overs pull be enough to cause a 5-7 wicket collapse as Pakistan has no energy.

Atleast bangaldesh allowed rest(albeit unintentionally)
