[PICTURES] PCB names players for Test squad training camp

Windies should find a way to get some juice in their wickets. Could ambush pakistan who are playing too many 30+ years batsmen

But, they might find themselves at 57/5 on such wickets. Key is here killer instinct - PAK is a better Test team than WI, even better on wickets that has something for the bowlers so that bowlers can cover some batting collapses - very common to PAK team (reason being not going for quick scores when team is on top). Last time PAK could have lost 2 Tests in UAE for one bad sessions each.

I find Misbah's leadership extremely boring & monotonous - he might allow these WI hacks to get away with a draw or win through back door. Killer instinct isn't Misbah's mantra; he is comfortable in slow burning, which was boasted by his massive luck with toss in UAE. Same philosophy won't work even against WI, unless he wins toss every time.

The thing is, when the collapse is on, no team (and I mean no team) tops Panickstan. Have a look at our match against West Indies (albeit talking odi's) in the World Cup in Australia and in the last Champions Trophy in England. On a slightly helpful pitch, their pacemen will cause more damage vs our pacemen to them. If nothing else, it will make the match more competitive. West Indies can't compete in test vs Pakistan on roads (barring Darren Bravo, their batsmen don't know how to bat for time) but they might get lucky on a spicy pitch. Plus the law of karma demands that players that hang on longer than required often be humiliated.

In Test, you have 2 innings to amend collapse, which doesn't happen in LO cricket. On a result wicket, if all 3 Tests ends in result - worst that can happen is 2-1 for PAK; on usual WI dross, chances are high that Misbah'll allow to drift couple of Tests to draw from dominating position, while WI will steal a win in the other one for a PAK collapse.

I wrote these exact same words before the PAK-ENG series in 2015, and it almost turned out to be fact. Make no mistake - play 3 Tests on same Abu Dhabi like track with Misbah not winning toss every time; couple of draws when PAK bats first, while the day Poms bats first & post 575+, Adil & Moeen will become Warne & Muraly.

PAK should never expect wickets where a Test can go to 5th day, as long as Misbah is Captain - rather 3 day shocker is better, where you can go through the motions & better team eventually wins. On a wicket, which has 3 possible results written, Misbah's PAK starts with only target - safety first, which inevitably will end in only 2 possible results - draw or loss. Last time, such situation came against NZ at Dubai & Misbah's team played safe, after winning the 1st Test at the cost of grand 3 wickets; only to allow Kiwis to comeback & make it 1-1. Attitude isn't a factor in LO, because you have no option but to go for it or lose (unless you are happy with respectable defeat); but when the match offers a possibility of winning at the risk of a loss, you know what Misbah will do.

Just to avoid sheer boredom, I hope WI puts 3 green tops or rank turners.
