So will this be the bowlers we will get used to seeing in the coming months?

Tabish khan is gonna be the new aizaz cheema , tanvir ahmed , play and then got dropped and discarded, and then come on media and start shrieking he has been a victim of grave injustice

Shaheen and Hasan are the two bowlers who will have to step up big time. Both are class acts, and just need to get in some good performances to bring some confidence.

I don't expect Tabish to play in Karachi, but our management might have some different ideas.

Faheem Ashraf will probably play in Pindi.

Bowling attack for Karachi looks to be made of two spinners, two pacers, and an all-rounder in my eyes.

Imran Butt
Abid Ali
Azhar Ali
Babar Azam
Fawad Alam
Mohammad Rizwan
Salman Ali Agha/Mohammad Nawaz/Faheem Ashraf/Saud Shakeel (if Saud plays, he'll slot in at 6)
Hasan Ali
Sajid Khan
Yasir Shah
Shaheen Shah Afridi

That's my prediction.

Pakistan have probably the worst fast bowling attack in world test championship, maybe apart from Bangladesh 🇧🇩.

Totally relying on Shaheen and Hassan. God, our bowling stocks are barren. :((

Tabish Khan is probably the same age as Waqar Younis

Hahaha, this is so unfair. For his sake, I hope he gets wickets. For Pakistan’s sake, I hope he retires with a swansong at the end of the series.

This was in 2011.

Even this attack is not looking healthy but still better than what we have at the moment. Its a decline.

An attack comprised of Shaheen hassan Yasir and sajid wont be too bad for home conditions

Sad decline of bowling quality over the last 20 years. There aren't many matches where I'm confident these guys can take 20 wickets.

2021 and Pakistani fans’ hopes of victory still rest on an Afridi.

Tabish bowling action reminds me a bit of Razzaq.

Anyone knows what pace he bowls?

This is more like a trundler brigade than an "attack"

Tabish is the oldest and the shortest , hence I did not give high marks to Mohammad Waseem.

Still I have some hope in Shaheen and Hasan Ali, to do good in the series.

Pakistan has Waqar the legend to make sure Pakistan is pushed further down the pace rankings. :122:

It's gotten lost around the furore of Fakhar Zaman's innings, but it was another abject bowling performance by Pakistan yesterday. That total was always 30 runs too much for our batting and it proved so at the end.

None of the bowlers are consistent enough to win matches for Pakistan on a regular basis. It's a mix of lack of talent, fitness, and general match intelligence. The lack of a competent spinner is also going to hurt this side from progressing in the long-run.

I disagree. Restricting SA to 330 was commendable on that ground!

The fact fakhar nearly chased it down on his own without any support shows it wasnt even par total set by south africa and the bowlers did a good job

If anyone else stuck around with him a little pakistan couldve won at a canter

Im not sure if you watch odi cricket these days but bowlers rarely win you games these days

Its all about the batting They win you games on flat decks and small boundaries

Pakistans bowling bar a spinner is fine They need to sort out their middle order batting to win more odi games

The hypothetical argument works both ways. It took an almost all-time great innings from Fakhar Zaman to allow Pakistan to get within a sniff of that target. The reason the likes of Babar and Rizwan failed was largely attributable to scoreboard pressure. In general, scores above 330 will not get chased.

Pakistan's death bowling leaves a lot to be desired, as underscored by the lack of effective yorkers being bowled by Shaheen, Hasnain and Rauf.

To brush that performance under the carpet is exactly why our bowling keeps buckling under pressure.

I think most teams would be ok chasing 330 now.

Even England with their famed batting line-up faltered twice recently chasing targets in that range on pitches much flatter than the ones in South Africa.

Scoreboard pressure can still cause chasing teams to tie themselves into knots especially in high-profile matches.

Only heavily experienced batting line-ups with a great track record of chasing high scores would be comfortable with such a strategy.

But generally if you ask a team to chase 330 they would be happy but Pakistan they proberly would be happy around 300 as thier batting isnt as explosive as england, india and to some extend new zealand
