Absurd decision, it was clearly not out.

Don’t know what he saw that we didn’t, unless he just imagined inbetween frames.

Please explain him that a batsman is supposed to be notout if foot stands planted and not otherwise.
I mean WTH!

His lack of english.

He didnt know how to get the frames changed in english. And just wanted to get on with it.

Inability to properly communicate with the person doing the camera work. He wanted the camera to go back another frame, it instead went forward and he had the audacity to say he is satisfied. Someone like this has absolutely no business being an umpire at international or domestic.

We can't let stupid decisions like this slide. It not only changes the outcome of matches but it can literally ruin careers.

Whatever his communication levels, that is simply not out - did the rest of the world miss something? Wow

Stunning decision, really stunning. Stevie Wonder would have seen it wasn't out

Embarrassing. How is someone so meek and shy going to umpire an international match. He couldn’t even ask for different views and just based his decision on the excitement level of the South Africans.

Horrible decision! It is an equivalent of running a delete query on a production server! Should be immediately fired from this role.

Out 100% identical 2 years back is that the work he has done in 2 years.

Arguably the worst decision ever made in umpiring history since the introduction of tv replays. Watched it back 8 times and still got it wrong. Just get him sacked and ban him from driving as well as he is clearly blind.

Feel really bad for him, his day was ended by a really embarrassing decision.

This is international cricket, the umpires should be using all the angles to ensure they make the right decision (not that it was even necessary here).

How can you give that out? He might as well have given him out while he was having drinks.

A clear not out decision with no doubts whatsoever. He needs to be questioned for this.

Embarrassing. How is someone so meek and shy going to umpire an international match. He couldn’t even ask for different views and just based his decision on the excitement level of the South Africans.

He did ask to watch it in different angles and also asked for various frames going back and forth multiple times and when he said "I am satisfied and have made my decision" I like everyone else thought he was going to give it not out. Was really stunned by the decision.

On a side note I have seen that Desi third umpires tend to use the same 2-3 sentences when reviewing and tend to milk the attention for all its worth. They will ask for front on vision to go back and forth a hundred times when there is a meter's gap between bat and ball or snicko where as Western umpires just forego it from the get go if its something that obvious.

It could also be stage fright having being put on the spot when their communication skills aren't that great and they think they have a point to prove.

One of the worst decisions by a third umpire I have seen in quite a long time. With so many replays at different angles available to third umpire there is just no excuse for such kind of decisions at this level.

The only explanation is that he pressed the wrong button by mistake and did not have the courage to change his decision.

Is he the one in charge of displaying the Out/Not-Out on the screen, or is it someone else?

Either way, it was an appalling decision.

Shamsi got a freebie.

Well I am under the impression that the tv umpire is the one who presses the buttons. At least it makes sense that he should be the one to do it in order to avoid blunders.

During the broadcast in the third umpire mic he also said that "I have made my decision and its out" before putting it on the screen, so he genuinely thought it was out which is even more alarming.

He has done this before and is absolutely awful.

Makes you wonder if he has some backing, otherwise why is he always in and around the scene

Ego driven umpires like this destroy people’s careers

I see.

So he is a graduate from Kumar Dharmasena School of Umpiring.

He is a very bad umpire ..... on the field and now also as a tv umpire.... PCB need to boot him out as an umpire for good..... blind as a bat

He seemed over eager to give out, you could even hear the excitement in his voice, seems like the decision was made before he even watched the reply.

Just watched the highlights and I think I finally figured why he gave it out lol. Look at 3:58 onwards, looks like he gave it out based on the fact that the bat wasn't grounded, he didn't even focus on the back leg

Umpiring standard during this series is not good. Aleem Dar has been fine, although below his best but other Pakistani umpires are not of international standard at all. They have not been biased but incompetent.

Indian umpiring during the ongoing series has been better, so far.

If I were the opposition captain I would have just called him back and withdrawn the appeal tbh. If it’s not out, it’s not out. Simple as!

This umpire would not have done this if the Batsman was Babar I tell you.

Stupid umpire. And why he couldn't reverse it even after knowing it was wrong. Stupid cricket rules

If you look at the photos they were taken at different times.

Not talking about the photos. I watched it live. And then watched the replays multiple times just to make sure if there was any angle which suggested he was out.

This is what happened 100%

Makes sense but the decision was shere incompetence.

Talat was looking good as well, and could have claimed a spot in the MO.

I suspect our management will remove him for Danish Aziz in the next game, I don't know why but I can see it happening.

Pakistani umpiring peaked with Aleem Dar and Asad Rauf and then no one could fill in their shoes; the two As were like the two Ws but in a different field of cricket.

He should defonitely get both the next 2 games cant drop someone based upon 1 innings

Shozab punished for that horrible decision by... making him an on-field umpire the next game.
