Well it was only 2023 when he smoked a 65 ball 100 against New Zealand in the WC. Since then he’s only played about 8 one day games .

Agreed. So many dropped chances. And one almost bowled played on on a great batting track against sl. We really need to try someone else. Azan awais, maaz sadaqat, maybe even Hasan Nawaz to open. If no high strike rate opener option available then might as well open with Babar

Fakhar is past his prime but I think he is still good enough to play for another year or two. Pakistan team management is always scared to try the bench strength.
