There is a very good chance that he would've carrying on playing if this match was on the Gaddafi flat wicket.Saw the footage and it looked like the ball might have clipped his chin but there’s no way you’re getting mild concussions from that when the grill took most of the impact.
I promise you, if it was Hassan Nawaz, Haris or any other youngster, they would’ve rubbed it off.
The only thing worse than a crap player is a crap player who wants to play his own wee games on the field.
@Mamoon Apologise now.

Hatred for a player is one thing but come on brother.
Besides, it's not like him staying would have mattered. Imam has completly lost form, in his prime he was a slow misbah level accumulator but on current form he gives me 2015 nasir jamshed vibes.
He would have been dismissed soon had he not been struck.
Please do not bring Hughes in here. Imam is scared - it is clear to see.Really it is sad how some fans here are accusing him of faking.
After Hughes incident, it should be clear to all in cricket community that caution is safest and best approach. If there is even slight chance of concussion better to go to hospital right away.
End of the day it is only a game and nowhere near value of life. We can criticize Imam for his shortcomings as player but it is not on to question this going off field.
You realise the grill is attached to the helmet and the helmet/head still gets rocked right? Concussion is caused by the brain bouncing around inside the skull as a result of impact. The grill simply shifts the impact out from the face to the grill, preventing a broken face. It doesn't remove the impact.
You can still get concussion if you fall off a bicycle wearing a helmet- you just get spared the fractured skull.
That's fairTbh, the dr isn’t going to say he’s safe to play immediately. If they do say that and something happens to Imam the next day then they’ll be held responsible.
The CT scans were normal, they probably said it’s mild concussion based on what Imam described his symptoms. And, knowing Imam…I ain’t trusting a word out of his mouth.
We cannot be saying that it is fake... Not everything is a drama.... No jokes
Lets not make conclusions on injuries. Head injuries are always dangerous. Proper protocol has to be followed. It has been followed the Doctors know better than you.Saw the footage and it looked like the ball might have clipped his chin but there’s no way you’re getting mild concussions from that when the grill took most of the impact.

Rashid latif on his YT channel said that he ran away from the match. He didn't want to play.
The only issue is that what you're claiming is based of emotion and not actual proof. Don't get me wrong, I hate imam too and you're one of my favourite posters hereOh kithey head injury.
The doctors would’ve told him to man up before doing the haka

You raise a good point actually, their isn't much competiton due to secured spots. That’s true, if it was someone like Fakhar, I would’ve probably said “it must’ve hurt”, only because of his background and the fact that he’s not a wuss.
Imam, from what I’ve seen is a drama queen. The guy posted a picture of himself sleeping on the hospital bed with his glasses on, lol.
I just think that he tried to take the easy way out of a tour where almost all of our batsmen were struggling in.
And, he probably knows he’ll walk back into the team with Fakhar on his last legs. Usman and Abdullah haven’t secured their spots in the team. So, Imam really doesn’t have much competition imo.
Plus, he’s already making a career as a pundit…if his career ends now he’ll have other ways to survive financially.
I'm not selecting him again if I'm a selector. A cowardThat’s true, if it was someone like Fakhar, I would’ve probably said “it must’ve hurt”, only because of his background and the fact that he’s not a wuss.

I agree, Shan should be recalled to ODI side to provide stability and also it will help Shan to stay in touch with 2 long formats. Shan's form will decline if he will play tests only as Pakistan doesn't play too many tests. Imam's career should be over nowI'm not selecting him again if I'm a selector. A coward
Shan Masood has shown more guts so far in his career. He should play ahead some of the jokers in the team. He did decently in 2022 T20 world cup.
You forgot to include Travis head on the list but otherwise yes imam's sr will continue ti decrease and decrease since his fitness has also gone down the drainImam made his ODI debut on OCT 2017. Strike rates of opening batters since that day (min 2000 runs):
Roy 106.67
Bairstow 106.65
Rohit 102.15
Gill 99.24
QDK 99.06
Warner 98.65
Fakhar 93.05
Nissanka 91.46
Dhawan 89.88
Liton 85.79
Finch 85.65
Stirling 84.14
Imam 81.95
Tamim 78.99
Hope 78.97
@Rana @mominsaigol
This guy is slower than Ireland's Stirling, Finch & Dhawan (both were at their decline post 2019), BD's Liton Das. And i am not even comparing with World's elite openers. Not to forget, his record in the ICC events is extremely embarrassing.
This shouldn't be playing for Pakistan again. He is an associate level batter.
Head has 1867 runs at a strike rate of 120+You forgot to include Travis head on the list but otherwise yes imam's sr will continue ti decrease and decrease since his fitness has also gone down the drain
Tbf I thought Head had acquired 2000 runs but then I realised he wasn't really present pre 2022 due to Finch and WarnerHead has 1867 runs at a strike rate of 120+
I used 2000 runs filter as Imam had 3k runs not. If we apply 1500 runs filter then Afghan openers will also make the list. And both of them have a better strike rate than Imam.
