[PICTURES/VIDEOS] ] Is Hasan Nawaz the second coming of Inzamam-ul-Haq or Imam-ul-Haq?

Excellent innings by Hasan Nawaz today ,not everyday you're req to slog an innings of substance it was which will help him to add another aspect in his batting.
 
Anyone comparing this hack to Inzy has to really reevaluate their cricketing knowledge. This guy as of now is a total hack. He may become a decent player with hard work and improved skills but right now he is absolutely nobody to be compared to Inzy. Infact in don't think even Babar is as good as Inzy was although Inzy himself bottled in world cups except that iconic one innings

basically he is only Afridi part II in batting skills.. inferior or superior... time will tell..
 
He's a brainless slogger hence comparisons with slowish fraud stat pad batters like Imam doesn't make any sense.

And Inzi is a solid middle order batsmen for his era, Hasan Nawaz is no where close to Inzi.

Pakistan has not had a better middle order batsmen then Inzimam ul Haq when it pertains to whiteball cricket.

Tbh that was a great effort. Loved the determination

His two partnerships with Mendis and Faheem are the reason at the end why QG had enough runs to defend.

They could have been blown out for less than 100 if this guy wasn’t sensible in milking spin instead of going for slogs.
 
SOMEBODY CHANGED THE TITLE ACTUALLY..IT WAS JUST INZAMAM BEFORE...but tbh... there is no comparison even with imam also... Hasssan is a blind slogger..
 
He got all the shots, and absolutely murders spin bowling. Good induction for middle order. His only weakness is against seam/swing but so was sehwag. I guess hes better in middle when ball stops moving

Better suited to 4 with Agha at 3, Nawaz can murder spin at this number in middle overs. Anyways good bench strength forming up for Pak team, gone are the days when people said we dont have replacements for certain players

Needs to work a bit on his technique...he has the power but not proper technique and stance.

I think he’s much more comfortable against spin. After a long time, I’m seeing someone as comfortable hitting spin as he is, probably since S Malik. Better suited to middle order.

This is my top 7 for now;

1. Saim
2. Yasir/Farhan
3. Fakhar
4. Salman
5. Khushdil
6. Hassan Nawaz
7. Harris

One possibility is that Nawaz can exchange position with Khushdil at 5.

Haider Ali has same issue. Their hitting technique against length and short pitch bowling needs major improvement.
 
Another knock that is gonna get hyped to the moon and people will act crazy to select this tulla show again..
 
Such tullaybaaz he is. There are much better batters in Pak who should get chance ahead of him.
 
I’m not sure what people want him to do?

He was trying to go from ball 1 and broke the Pakistan T20 record of the fastest hundred at International level…

He was struggling to replicate that form and was under immense pressure, so now he’s being more watchful and trying to stick it out for his team…

He does that and helps his franchise win 2 important games (Karachi and Islamabad), and he’s still not accepted for being a Tullah….

Like, what do you want him to do? Bat like Saud and Haseebullah, and just not win games for his side?
 
I dont think we have had players like him, maaz, haris,saim, farhan and yasir in past decade. We've had likes of awais zia,mukhtar, only exception is sohaib maqsood,sharjeel khan, khalid latif, umar akmal and fakhar zaman.

So it's better to celebrate that we are finally getting modern players, instead of finding faults with them.
 
He looks like a tailender at times and during other instances he is capable of playing calypso style strokes like that flick to win the game for his team. This is T20 cricket, not about looking pretty, it’s about being positive and getting the job done, it would be a mistake to reign him in now, just look at how Misbah psychologically abused Umar Akmal to the point you lost him altogether. So while he needs to address his shot selection / anticipation at times, especially putting the weight on the front foot against the shorter stuff, I admire the intent, he will get better with experience and proper backing iA

Tailender only against seam/swing otherwise he's comfortable against pace and bounce.

That’s why I said ‘at times’, those hoiks against the shorter deliveries were not the best look in that last over, boundaries were very short and the fielding was shocking, but this is besides the point I was making because it doesn’t really matter massively compared to the intent needed in the top order…..
 
Two centuries in quick time in T20 cricket.

The lad has been put down the order by his selfish skipper and responded with a century. No talks of how this isn't his position and how he prefers to bat elsewhere. Bat did all the talking and he has smashed it in back-to-back matches.

RESPECT.
 
Respect for Mark Chapman today.

He hasn’t found his rhythm with the bat yet in this tournament, and today he was looking at ease on this deck at Pindi. But the final over, he gave Nawaz an easy single and let him hog the strike for the entire over so Nawaz could get his hundred.

This is great encouragement from an overseas pro towards a young, emerging Pakistan cricketer!
 
He is clearly no tailender as most posters here suggest. He has some flaws but he is naturally gifted.. he seems to be improving day by day. This inning had more nice looking cricketing shots.

I sense he also has more nerve and doesn’t bottle under pressure which is a really good sign for his age.

This PSL has been great in terms of some new proper talent. Yasir Khan, Maaz Sadaqat, Ubaid Shah, Hassan Nawaz. These guys do need some improvement but they look proper players and not hacks like Usman Khan.
 
A gun player of spin, weak against pace which is why he needs to get settled before he can smash it out of the park.

He should be your t20 and odi no 4, let Fakhar open.
 
Runs this guy has scored were scored in middle order. Is PC sane enough to try to keep him in middle order???

Our opening slot is already booked IMO.

Well, he’s definitely ahead of Babar and Rizwan to serve in the middle.
 
Important question should be how a poor guy from lahya(only one prior known cricketer) develop power hitting better than many in country
 
His six hitting game against spin is superb. Sends them long if they are in his range!
 
An exciting young player. It's time to move away from players like Tayyab Tahir, Salman Agha, Usman Khan, and Shadab, and instead, focus on integrating talented individuals like Nawaz, Yasir Khan, Nafay, and Farhan to build a more dynamic team
 
I was skeptical about Hasan even after his NZ century but his latest streak cannot be overlooked despite it being riddled with countless lucky breaks. Batting at 4 he has shown maturity, shepherding two tough run chases. What was impressive was how he took the game deep both times and did not just try to slog everything barring those few deliveries from Shahzad in the IU game. I think this is a good development for Pakistan given the intense competition for the opening slot.
 
Even M.hafeez was walking wicket against seam/swing. It was only after his moving down to no.4 he became influential batsman

I think he has shown great maturity better to give him an extended run in ODIs too beside T20Is. Could easily replace the likes of Iftikhar

Issue is that next ODI WC is in SA and Hassan like most of our batsmen is suspect against short ball. Khushdil has same issue.

Share the Balls per six ratio too please

Balls per sixes

1. Hasan Nawaz - (after every 8.65 balls)
2. Fakhar Zaman - (after every 11.33 balls)
3. Sahibzada Farhan - (after every 12.75 balls)
4. Yasir Khan - (after every 9.71 balls)
5. Muhammad Naeem - (after every 9.21 balls)

It is interesting to note that out of all these batters only Hasan has more sixes than fours and his ratio to sixes to fours is roughly 2:1 (Sixes:Fours). Which means he hits less fours but he also hits more sixes.
