Muhammad Irfan Khan (born 28 December 2002) is a Pakistani cricketer. Born in Mianwali, Punjab, Irfan switched from tape-ball to hard-ball cricket in 2015 by joining the city's Ikram Shaheed Cricket Club.

After playing club cricket, he progressed to Under-19 cricket, representing Mianwali at the district level in 2016 and Faisalabad at the regional level in 2017. His impressive performances earned him a spot in Pakistan's squad for the 2020 Under-19 Cricket World Cup.

Irfan was selected for the newly formed Central Punjab team for the 2019-20 domestic season and was retained for the 2020-21 season. He made his List A debut for Pakistan Shaheens against the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) during their tour of Pakistan in February 2020.

In September 2020, Irfan made his Twenty20 debut for Central Punjab in the 2020-21 National T20 Cup. He was named in Pakistan's team for the 2022 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup in the West Indies in December 2021.

Mohammad Irfan Khan speaks to PCB media ahead of his debut ODI match against Australia:

"When you represent Pakistan on such a platform, it's exhilarating. Every cricketer dreams of playing for Pakistan. Since I started playing cricket, my goal was to wear the green jersey."

"I began cricket at school level, joined a club, and had supportive coaches. They saw potential in me, saying, 'Work hard, and you'll play for Pakistan.' That motivated me."

"I wrote down my dreams on a page, aiming to play in the Under 19 region, the Under 19 World Cup, PSL, and eventually for Pakistan."

"Alhamdulillah, my journey unfolded as planned."

"My family, especially my father, supported me throughout. I'm grateful for their encouragement."

"Gully cricket is essential in Pakistan. It's where talent emerges, progressing from school to club to academy levels."

"My dream is to play against Australia, a top team. Performing well against them makes you a renowned player. My goal is to play match-winning innings for Pakistan."

He is not cut for international cricket.Poor against pace and average against spin. All the best to him

He's a got a very difficult task on Monday to take on the Aussie attack.

Best of luck to him.

big call to pick him against Australia and that too in Australia... wont be an easy thing for him to handle Australian bounce right on debut.

he will surprise everyone here today.. he is a gun fielder and the most important thing is he has the hinger and accepts the challenge... his batting also evolved and looks a better lower order batsmen... he needs to skill up his bowling too to keep himself pushing to play as an allrounder..
