Rather lost looking players in these pictures - hope they arent feeling jaded - really needed a break or so.

Looking lost & not very bright hope theyr going to get educated on how to look after the ball

Accident waiting to happen can picture one of the dopey fielders using saliva blatant in front of the camera, will be headline news the next day “told you so pak were ball tamperers in 92”

Probably excited to finally get to a hotel where the rooms have air conditioning, wardrobes, Sky TV and a safe!

Welcome to a city where the rising Covid infection rates have led both Greater Manchester’s leaders and the government to conclude that new lockdown restrictions were needed in the region.

The slips cordon seems to have an addition of Yasir Shah at 3rd slip. 1st slip Babar, 2nd slip Asad 3rd slip Yasir and gully Shan which indicates all these will play the 1st Test.

I feel like depending on the pitch, they might play both Shadab and Yasir. Shadab to bat at 7 and Rizwan at 6 instead of Alam.

Not sure how I feel about it but let’s see.

Yup No. 7 is quite open. Considering the dry and warm forecast from Day 2 to 4 it seems the management will either go with Fawad or Shadab. I do not think they will consider 4 pacers. Let's see what they decide.

Yeah, and it would be a good toss to lose. Try and bowl England out on the first day and then spend as much time in the middle as possible on day 2 and 3. Play attritional cricket and try to wear out the likes of Anderson. Then let the leg spinners loose later on in the match.

Pakistan definitely need to play 6 specialist batsmen, keeper, 4 specialist bowlers. One or two of the specialist batsmen will be able to bowl a bit too (eg Azhar).

Pakistan's batting is already weak and the last thing they want to do is to play Shadab or Faheem Ashraf in place of a specialist batsman.

4 specialist bowlers is all you need to make an impact in bowling, traditionally 5 specialist bowlers in Tests have not been needed.

It will be interesting to see Yasir Shah fielding in the slip cordon.

Generally he is a safe outfielder but I feel like his reflexes won't be quick enough with his dwindling fitness levels & increasing age.

Alot of catches were dropped in the practice matches in the slips. Usually Haris Sohail used to be in the slips with Babar and Asad. Maybe now Yasir Shah is the best choice available because he is energetic. Also, Azhar has been poor in the slips so anyone else would be better. If Shadab plays then he might come to gully with Shan at 3rd. Fielding in slips will be key for both teams.

Shadab is a decent batsman and has the potential to stick around and annoy England. I think he could be quite decent at number 7. The issue is with his bowling and whether it’s good enough to be the main spinner. From the warms up it appeared the answer was no.

However if Yasir is playing as the main spinner then Shadab can be used to give rest to the pacers and will be a lot more effective then part timers so could be a good move. England have issues against spin and it wouldn’t be unheard of for them to collapse against someone like Shadab. Particularly if the pitch is dry.

SO HYPED for this series my lads
pakistan in england never disappoints. its pretty much the blue ribbon cricket event

The body language seems negative. They must be missing Umar Akmal and Rahat Ali!:13:

Interesting! Looks like Rizwan is being briefed with the bowlers so everyone is on one page with strategy.

Subtle detail but it’s impressive that there is good synergy being created throughout the entire squad!

0:24 Shadab is a brilliant fielder.

Catch by Shadab!

0:24 Shadab is a brilliant fielder.

He’s the best fielder we’ve ever had.

His batting seems to be improving. It’s a shame his bowling hasn’t kicked on because he could have formed a great core for us along with Babar and Shaheen in all formats.

Shadab has world in his feet if he wants to...i mean you have mushy and yasir there as leggies experienced if you cant learn from them then you have no hope

I feel like this will be Shadab's breakthrough series as a batsman, still not convinced by his bowling yet but his batting has been impressive.
