Pakistan players looked pretty relaxed when they walked into the ground today.

Ahead of practice, a lengthy chat from Mickey Arthur telling them exactly what he expected from them.

Many in the press box surprised that Pakistan have decided to bat first.

Meanwhile Geoffrey Boycott walked in a few minutes ago - very confident that England will win this match.

Is there a conventional wisdom at Headingley?

I think the wicket has flattened out over the years, but today was definitely a bowling day in my opinion.

Nasser Hussain was in the press box earlier chatting about the World XI match and saying how good it was to chat with Shahid Afridi.

Very hazy today which makes the decision to bat first even more puzzling.

Sun keeps trying to break through but then disappears.

Headingley under construction with one end looking an ugly buidling site.

What sort of Pakistan support is there today at Leeds?

Well, chatting with Ramiz Raja, he reckons England will struggle also with the bat - not happening so far though.

Overhead conditions have been much better for England in their innings and the ball has not swung at all for Pakistan.

Cloud cover today so am hoping Pakistan can do better.

Incase you missed it, here is some excellent footage by Saj of warmup from yesterday.

Pakistan have been a bit flat today and lacklustre in the field, lacking a bit of energy.

Even in the warm-ups they didn't seem very energetic.

Great crowd today and atmosphere.

Highlight of today watching some of the Pakistan matches of the 1990s and 2000s with Wasim and Waqar, with both of them playing in the matches and providing funny stories of each match.

The 2 Ws and Rameez Raja in great form in the press box with some fascinating and crazy stories of team-mates, PCB officials etc that they played alongside and played under.

It could have ended up as a epic day for Pakistan but not to be!

All over in the blink of an eye.

A few more observations:

How some folk in Pakistan become journalists is beyond me.

1 journalist openly shouting that he is eating haram food and drinking Guinness later.

Really poor effort fromPakistan, day 3 before play the body language looked poor and I said to a guy in the press box that Pakistan won't score 200.

What was intriguing in the press box was seeing a Pak journalist from a tv channel who always criticises a former Pakistan head coach and player. That player was in the press box at times and that particular journalist was as quiet as a mouse around him and could barely look him in the eye.
