[PICTURES/VIDEOS] Tayyab Tahir - International Performance watch

Tayyab has been scoring some runs in domestics and he really deserves a spot in the team, especially the ODI team. He has scored runs in crucial games like that emerging Asia cup final and now he scored another century in a knockout game. injustice is everywhere to be seen in Pakistan.

This guy is definitely not the answer for the T20 team.

Another one who struggles to hit a maximum against the pacers.

He can be tried in the other formats though.

ODI and test format suit him. He is showing some form and should be in the team because he is one of the guys who can be named as a specialist middle-order batter.

I don't mind him in ODI's.

He is doing well, then he deserves his chance.

Don't think he makes the cut for Tests, pretty poor FC average.

He is a guy who can build an inning. SO I think he is 100 sure shot good for ODIs and for tests, he can show some runs to make it possible as well.

During the match, Tahir hit a powerful six that inadvertently struck a young fan in the crowd. Demonstrating genuine concern, Tahir immediately sought to make amends for the accident. After the game, the Pakistani batter personally met with the young fan and his family to express his sincere apologies in a viral clip. In a gesture that has since gone viral, Tahir presented the fan with a signed bat and cap, and took photographs with him, aiming to provide comfort and show his heartfelt regret for the incident.

The video capturing Tahir’s compassionate actions quickly spread across social media. Many have praised Tahir for his empathy and kindness, highlighting the importance of sportsmanship beyond the game itself.

Tayyab played a heroic knock during Pakistan A’s match against the Melbourne Stars. The Aussie side, having won the toss, elected to bat first and set a formidable target of 175 runs, thanks to strong performances by Ashley Chandrasinghe, who scored 47, and Liam Blackford, who added 55 runs.

Tayyab Tahir's decent knock of 67(102) went in vain today for Ghani Glass as PTV managed to defeat them by 9 wickets.

Tayyab Tahir set to make ODI debut for Pakistan tomorrow on 26th November in the 2nd ODI match against Zimbabwe with Pakistan trailing the hosts with 1-0 margin

A great chance for Tayyab to make a name for himself and try to be part of the National team. He should score heavily, no excuses

Loved the way he picked his spots and attacked today. Nothing fancy about him, just an old school solid batter.

Got an opportunity in T20 format and delivered. Even though I think he is better in ODIs. But not a bad effort in T20s considering the hacks we have seen recently

After a slow period following key wickets against Zimbabwe in 1st T20I, Pakistan's innings gained momentum with Tayyab Tahir 39*(25), helping them reach 165/4.

After winning Man of the match award in post match ceremony, Tayyab Tahir:

"To be honest, it was a little difficult. We were watching our openers hit the ball well against the new ball, but when you play against the older ball, the conditions become more challenging.

I made a plan with my partner, and we decided to play through the tough phase and try to get to 161. That was the plan. We were talking to each other, saying, 'Keep running hard and take every opportunity.' If we couldn’t hit a six, we focused on running hard for the team."

He looked good in this middle order hitter role. Hopefully he shows some consistency.

So far excellent keep going refreshing his striking well unlike the hyped tullers

Tayyab Tahir in a post match interview:

"I am thankful to Allah for the opportunity to perform well and contribute to my team’s victory. We had watched a few matches on this ground to assess the pitch and having played an ODI here before I knew that batting with the old ball can be quite challenging. I shared this with my partner, emphasizing that we needed to stay at the crease to build a score. We decided not to focus on hitting sixes in every over but instead rely on singles and doubles while playing sensibly. Sticking to this plan worked out well for us and we were able to execute it successfully."

It’s difficult to put into words how it feels to win the Man of the Match award but I’m thrilled. I know my family and friends will be proud of my performance. My father had told me before the match to try and perform well today and now I’m really excited to talk to him after this knock."

Tayyab Tahir failed to make an impact with the bat today for Pakistan in the 2nd T20I against South Africa. Made just 6(6)

Nothing special this guy, there are much better players available in domestic circuit than him

I have seen enough of him to enough he will be bang average at international level. Doesn't have the game against pace. It always late against pace. Him and Usman need to go. They are rubbish in all honesty.

Nice piece of fielding at the boundary by Tayyab Tahir to save a boundary

Tayyab Tahir played a handy knock of 38 off 33 in the final of the Tri-Nation ODI series against New Zealand.

He should bat at no.4 or 5, where he has 25+ overs to play, plain and simple are Rizwan and Aaqib that dumb to not figure out

He is decent and underrated. Much much better than midget chicken saud and fraud khushdil and obviously hack Usman.

He should bat at no.3 instead of the chicken midget saud.
Looks decent against pace and very good against spin.
Should be given more chances in the top order.

Yes he should be one down with kg at 5.

Kamran Ghulam didn't do too bad in limited number of matches he played.

He should be persisted especially if his replacement is that midget saud and fraud khushdil.

Happy with his performance and attitude. If number 4 slot wasn't fixed having him higher would help keep innings momentum rather than 2 to 3 run per over break period for 20 overs once our number 4 batter comes to crease

A solid player and needs to be backed, should play all matches of champions trophy.

One failure in an impossible situation and the usual suspects bring out the knives.

He's a good player, should be given the entire Champions Trophy. Not a bad idea to bat him at #3 in place of Said, if Babar keeps his opening spot.

Tayyab is getting out in similar fashion every time. He is a good batter but not sure why he is not trying to let go of that jab towards mid wicket...

Tayyab Tahir has mostly batted in the top four in List A cricket over the last three years but has only featured at 6 or 7 for Pakistan.

With just one specialist opener in the squad and Tayyab averaging nearly 50 as an opener, should Pakistan pair him with Imam against India?

Tayyab Tahir in his last 5 ODI innings

4(6) vs India
1(5) vs New Zealand
38(33) vs New Zealand
4*(1) vs South Africa
30(29) vs New Zealand

Who the hell is Tayeb Tahir and how do people like him get selected? Did this guy win his place in the team in some cereal box competition?

He's as good as butler according to some. He's a club level cricketer who shouldn't be anywhere near the team.

His contribution in CT is 5 runs, 11 balls. As a pure batter.

Not bad.

Batting genuine middle order batters at 5 and 6 whilst Rizwan bats at 4 looooool
