“Line is very important. Keep middle-off stumps line, Even if you are bowling over the stumps or around the wicket, don’t let the middle stump play as off-stump."

Almost all teams have figured him out apart from a few innings except Rohit sharma. But you have to have proper field set on the off side. Rohit completely opens that cordon.

That's a horrible strategy lol, it'll only work with the new ball.

Travis is literally the best offside player in the world. You gotta bowl legside to him since once he's onsong he usually struggles with the pull shot.

99% of his dismissals are pull shot dismissals once he is set.

When Travis head is new, yes the middle offstump line bothers him but so does every delivery.

Travis Head's issue is that he either gets out quickly or game over for the opposition unless Bumrah does something

Head is an exciting batsman and fun to watch in full flow - it’s not fun when you’re at the receiving end but you got to appreciate great innings regardless of the nationality of a player. That said, good for him that he’s maximizing his output while he can because he is a hand-eye coordination dependent batsman and at one point that strength will diminish, it has happened to the best of them. But fun to watch till it lasts from a cricket fan’s point of view.

1) Johnny Bairstow is one of the best odi openers of all time

2) Shaun Pollock = Ashwin = Anderson in test cricket

3) Laxman > Kohli > YK in test cricket

4) Travis Head is a poor man's version of LLaxmanin test when they literally have nothing in common in terms of batting style and structuring a test innings

5) Pollock is only a borderline ATG but Jadeja is a certified ATG

None of these posts make any sense.

Travis has nothing to do with laxman, Ashwin and jadeja are spinners while pollock is a pacer but even if you equate them 2 of them are home turf bullied and okayish overseas while the other is considered close to mcgrath at peak

And 2 players who don't avg 50+ in any other country besides India and in kohli's case avg 14, 33 and 36 against Bangladesh, Nz and England

Is somehow > a guy who avg 50+, has more centuries, more test runs and and has a stellar record in every country except SA?

Even if you're a biased Indian, these takes are so rubbish that they make me cringe.

As an all format batsmen, Head is > everyone single indian player minus Kohli who is > him.

Rohit is far worse then Head in test. He is better then head in odi and t20 however impact wise Head has remained > him in odi. At the end of rohit's career due to a massive decline, the gap isnt all that high anymore.

Every other indian player has been an absolute tragedy in 2 formats bare minimum.

Head is easily > Dhawan, Raina, Yuvi(all formats, yuvi is better in certain formats though), Dhoni (much better then Dhoni in t20 and test) etc etc.

Name one all format batter in history who was equally good in all formats?

If Head avg 40 in both test and odi, is a solid htb in test, has impact knocks in odi especially in icc events and a freak strike rate in t20, then he is up their as a goat.

Warner, Ab, Kohli, Kp and Gayle are the only all format players > him.

Let it go. No need to troll. Head is an all format batsmen. It makes zero sense to apply individual filters towards him.

KP is appreciated as an all format batsmen. No one has ever stated KP sucks because root a test speiclaist is 100x > him in test cricket.

T20 Cricket has existed for over 18 years now. 18 years have gone by and with the exception of Kohli and arguably rohit, india has yet to produce an all format batter > Head.

A 40 avg with 100 sr odi batsmen which those odi centuries coming in crucial icc events one in a final and one vs Nz in said cup + a 42 avg HTB with one solid wtc performance + a solid t20 batter 33 avg and 160 SR is automatically better then 95% of all format batters in history.

Kohli, KP, de villers(although he sucked in test and I only consider = performers to be all format cricketers), Gayle and Warner are the only all format players > him.
