I watched it live. He top edged one or two but he clubbed most of the others. That happens when you are going after every ball. That’s cricket
 
After scoring the fastest fifty yesterday, Azam Khan came up with 19 (10) for Desert Vipers against MI Emirates in ILT20. Flukes don't happen every day.

To be honest I couldnt care less what anyone does in C grade mickey mouse league.

I only respect players who sweat in domestic cricket or perform when given a chance at international level.

For Azam Khan I have an extra hate level anyway due to his careless attitude towards fitness.
 
He can eat to his heart's content if he is only going to play league cricket. They don't care about fitness only want performance.
 
Azam kHan can only score against noobs who cant catch half the time and pie throwers
 
A fluke innings once cannot prove that he got it covered every match until he has the desire and skills to do so. Azam Khan needs to work on his attitude and his fitness more than anything, He may have the skills and power to go big but he is going nowhere with such fitness and behaviour towards certain things.
 
Former Pakistan captain Salman recently responded to comments made by wicketkeeper-batter Azam Khan regarding his lack of consistent opportunities with the national team. He remarked during his YouTube channel:

"See, he made some right points there related to the coaching staff. He said that he is being made to feel that he isn't good enough. He is still very young. He will realise later in his career that some coaches aren't real coaches; they are just there to praise the players. They want to please the players just so that they can retain their position."

"He (Azam Khan) should have gotten a chance to play the entire series. In a couple of matches, he went to bat when the required run rate was close to 13, which isn't easy for any batter. However, if you want to play international cricket, you have to be fit. With the kind of talent that he has, he can perform a lot better if he works on his fitness."

Calling Azam Khan just a spin hitter is not going to do justice to his talents. He brilliantly took on pacers tonight.

Are they playing INT cricket for Aus, Eng, SA or NZ?

people still getting fooled with these runs vs nobodies. Let him bat vs proper bowlers and we all know what will happen. 3 of 9 and out.
 
That’s the problem with circus leagues players just go through the motion waiting for there pay pack, feed (pun intended) azam pitched up delivery’s then his the next ab devilliers

Only to get exposed at international level.
 
he has the ability but I don't know what happens to him when he plays international cricket. It seems like he is not mentally strong enough to handle the pressure of international games.

Getting selected once a year to perform in only 2-3 matches is tough to do especially given his role & demands. There is generally an adjustment period to International cricket and we've seen, performing in the middle order is a tough job compared to opening.

Also, PCB, media & fans need to take bi-ateral cricket less seriously and think of it as more developmental opportunities. Just look at the series vs NZ, after three poor matches, Azam was benched despite having no other middle order options on the team and for what? Series was already over but you coaches/selectors/captains so desperate for wins to retain their positions that it always leads to short-term thinking and not long-term.
 
A useless ugly knock against ordinary bowlers on a flat deck and didnt even win the game. A fraudster!

For normal cricketers who play 2 or 3 formats you can experiment them in various games. If it's just one format, you only play so many T20 bilaterals every year.

PCB cannot put Azam's health at risk asking him to play longer formats, he poses a health hazard, being on the field for two hours or more.

Plus we have decent keepers, and having Michelin man behind the stumps is a compromise. His keeping involves more chat than quality glove work. If not keep, He cannot field because he's unable to do things like run, jump etc.

So taking all this into consideration, even getting two chances is a bonus for such a severely handicapped player. He should've grabbed the opportunity with both hands.
 
Could have been a match-winning innings but he fell short of doing it. Superb inning though.

He wanted a consistent chance i think he will get atleast 3 games against New Zealand
 
There have been some weird and parchee selections in the history of Pak cricket, but the selection of Azam Khan has to go down as the worst one. Also a Captain/ Management that allows such a player to be part of the dressing room cant be taken serious.

Secondly Azam Khan is not international material but he's always been a league star. So what you're saying isn't revolutionary fam.
 
He’s a very good talent and is international level imo. He’s just appallingly overweight which is why it will never work. You can’t realistically do anything, this man shouldn’t have been allowed to progress in youth level and join PSL before he lost weight. It’s too late now, let him enjoy franchise leagues.
 
Guys, please stop this looking for a silver lining with this guy every time he manages to cross 20. He's a mediocre nepobaby with average hitting ability and not much temperament. Is he the worst player in the league? No. Does he have any real talent? Also, no. He's going to keep existing on this level till his age and lifestyle choices catch up to him. And then he will fade into obscurity never to be remembered again. That's all there is to him.

The point is he is actually proud on the fact that he looks like this and can eat a zillion parathas, just look at his interviews.

Pathetic mindset, even more embarrassing are those selecting him.

“Sending Azam to open is an unusual but smart decision,”

“It gives him more time to bat and take advantage of fielding restrictions. This could help him grow as a player,”

“Fast bowlers know his weakness and always test him with short balls,”

“It’s become a regular pattern in the PSL and other leagues. He must work on this area quickly or it will continue to be a problem,”
