Plane spotting while landing or taking off at airports

Some airports have great locations to see planes take off and land.

Toronto Pearson is super busy on most days. Recently I was stuck in a massive traffic jam on the highway right next to the airport and I kid you not every 40-50 seconds a plane was coming into land. You could see two three planes behind every plane lining up to land. Absolutely crazy


And Toronto isn't even the busiest airport in the world. The busiest is Heathrow or JFK in New York. I wonder what is the frequency of plane landing in those airports.


As an admirer of all things related to planes I have always been fascinated with the amount of coordination required between the ATC and pilot to make this difficult feat seem so easy.
