Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz MNA from Gujrat, Abid Raza, escaped from Lahore High Court after a divisional bench awarded life sentence to him for killing 12 people.

According to a private news channel, Raza is expected to leave Pakistan late night on Thursday in order to avoid arrest.

Chaudhry Raza Abid, who was elected as MNA on the ticket of PML-N in 2013 general elections from NA-107 (Gujrat-IV), was given death penalty in 2003 by an Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) for his involvement in the murder of six people in Gujrat.

However, he paid blood money to the victims’ families.

Is that really surprising though? PML-N's extensive links with that particular organization are hardly a secret. Rana Sanaullah is another one who's Noora by affiliation but Jhangvi at heart.

I know their historical links with these orgs specially rana's but i can't imagine them going this openly to give ticket to someone with a history of involvement in 6 murders now that is one bold step! As i was saying a few days ago in another thread when we were discussing a similar issue PMLN didn't learned anything from past they are just playing good/bad card.

These guys have so much political space in Pakistan it's not even funny. These guys have a political front of their own too and they have seat sharing agreements in place with several major parties across the country. PML-N has one with them in South Punjab and while it's outrageous, the powers that be seem to be fond of them so not much that can be done about it. I agree that PML-N is as culpable of playing good taliban-bad taliban as anyone, that was never in dispute.

They were just playing that "we can support PTI dherna" card for their own agendas. I heard they want govt to review the fourth schedule list that's why they met Interior Minister Ch Nisar a few days ago. (This MNA mentioned in OP was also in fourth schedule list if i am not wrong)

Sharif's own family member Abid Sher Ali and his father accused Rana Sanaullah (Shahbaz Sharif's right hand in Punjab) of multiple murders and even Rana Sanaullah's own worker accused him of ordering killing of PTI worker. Many other MNA/MPAs have attacked police stations inclding Sharif's favourite Ephedrine smuggler Hanif Abbasi who attacked police stattion last month to free his worker.
Multiple PMLN MPs/MNAs have been involved in crime and even rapes (including child porn charges) but nothing has been done becuse they are real assets of Nawaz.

Thats what stupid people do and then blame others for everything wrong with the country. When you elect murdered, thieves and Maha Corrupt people, what you expect. We Punjabi blame Sindh and other provinces to elect wrong people, I think Punjab is the worst and elect the horrible people. PKP people are the most politically mature and patriotic.

LAHORE: FIA officials stopped a Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) from traveling outside the country, ARY News reported.


Immigration Department of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) stopped the ruling party’s MNA Chaudhry Abid Raza from exit, who was traveling to Turkish capital Istanbul. He was denied travel to abroad after 90 minutes of questioning by the investigation authority.

It should be noted that a court had found Raza guilty of the murder of six people in Gujrat in 1998. Anti Terrorism Court, in 2003, had handed death sentence to the culprits in the case.

However, the PML-N parliamentarian was released on bail following a settlement with the aggrieved party.

Supreme Court of Pakistan later took notice of his release and ordered the Lahore High Court to look into the case. The court had remarked that any criminal, who has terrorism charges against him, could not be released.


The higher court had awarded life sentence to Raza but the culprit escaped from the court premises.

Funding the Father of Taliban and the Madrassah ul Haqqania is apparently 'curriculum modification' - 40-50 million rupees but awarding a ticket to LeJ is wrong.

^^Haqqania funding is valid issue and probably needs a separate thread because it is a risky thing to do if cash is handed to these people but it could be a massive win for Pakistan if 2.5 million children in madrassahs could be mainstreamed using millions more than they have invested already.

PMLN again awarded ticket to Chaudhry Abid Raza from NA-71 Gujrat. He was convicted in the 'murder case of six people' and was sentenced to death. In 2016 SC restored his death sentence. His case is still pending in Lahore High Court.
